If you didn't get a response from a couple of parents for a birthday party, would you ask the daycare teacher to ask the parent for the RSVP? I have 2 outstanding RSVP's but I don't ever see the parents so I can't just ask the parent...

I would assume they aren't coming if they didn't RSVP. I probably wouldn't feel comfortable getting the teacher to play middleman.

I had the same issue and those who didn't rsvp didn't come. I would just leave it alone because I think it is beyond the teacher's duties.

Can you slip a note in the kids cubby with your cell#?

They probably aren't coming but I'd still plan for them if they show up. I wouldn't get daycare involved.

I assumed they were not coming, but had a few extra favors in hand in case they showed. They didn't.

I admit that I'm that horrible parent. Invites come home and are quickly lost and I end up not RSVP'ing. I would assume they suck like me and aren't coming.

Same has happened to me and I'm just assuming they're not coming. I never see any of the parents at drop off/pick up.

@MamaG: hahaha. I just had one dad text me (he had texted me his rsvp a couple weeks ago) and told me he lost the invite but he needed my address and the time again.

I wouldn't ask the teacher to get involved. If you have their email I would email but otherwise I would assume they aren't coming. I would have a favor for them just in case though.
