Isn't there supposed to be a magical time when their immune systems are amazing and they don't get sick all.the.time anymore? I would love for our lo to not be sick for maybe a day or two....that whole "let's have a healthy December" thing sure didn't happen....

DD started at 6 months and caught a few things. I'd say by 1 year she hardly really sick anymore. I think it also depends on the daycare. Ours is very vigilant about keeping things clean and adhering to a sick policy so I think that is key or else kids will always be sick no matter the age.

Ugh, I'd sure like to know too. E got the stomach flu two weeks ago (which also means I got the stomach flu) only to return to daycare and find out they had a case of rsv in the room. So he was out all last week with a confirmed case of RSV requiring breathing treatments and a double ear infection. Now DH and I are both coughing up a lung. Merry Christmas

I'd like to know the answer to this too. DD started in daycare around 4.5 months. She's 9 months now, and the colds are just getting started from the looks of it. The first few months she did great, and now it's just one illness after another. She had a stomach bug last week and has had a number of colds. It's so tough when baby is sick all the time... plus then you're out of luck w/ childcare while they're stuck at home!
