I probably won't send LO to a program (most likely part time) until she's around 2.5?
Baby 2 will be 9 months old.

DD 1 started preschool at 2.5 yo... We would've started her sooner at 2 yo, but we had an awesome live-in nanny at the time and it was hard to let go of her. Anyway, it was a good age to start and by the time DD 2 was born, she had been going to school for a year so I feel like she didn't think we were replacing her or anything, kwim? oh and thank goodness she was in school when I had our newborn... It was nice to just concentrate on the baby for those hours she was gone.

DD is currently in daycare (been there since 8w) and I have all intentions of sending her during my upcoming maternity leave. I might keep her home a day or so here and there but want the time to bond with the new baby that I had with her.

Yes, I would find it hard to handle her plus a newborn all day by myself.
