Have you been? Is it worth the cost? My mom lives minutes from there so I thought about taking my kids this year.

I have not been but am curious as to whether my 2 year old would enjoy it or if she is too young/it's a waste of money/etc. So I will be following!

@abmamma: It would be $130 for 2 adults and 2 kids (includes a discount) - yikes!

@mamaof2: whoa! I had no idea it was that pricey. I thought the Frosty the Snowman theme this year sounded good but maybe we should wait until DD is a little older.

@abmamma: @Mamaof2: We went when this was at Gaylord Opryland last year. Our son was 2.5 at the time (and we had our newborn in tow). Now, disclaimer, it was later in the day, he hadn't napped, we were probably in prime meltdown territory anyway, but he HATED IT. They have to bundle you up in these huge coats (which he protested) and of course it is FREEZING. You're not really supposed to touch most of it, and adults can't go down those slides with the kids, from what I remember, so he was too afraid. Honestly, it was a huge, huge waste of money for us.

@Mrs. Yoyo: yeah I was sorta thinking of only taking my 6 yr old - leave DH and DD at my moms house

@Mamaof2: I could see a kid that age enjoying it much more, hopefully

@mrs.yoyo-- thanks for the info. I think we'll hold off until DD is older.....definitely glad someone asked so we didn't waste a bunch of money!!

I haven't been personally, but most of my friends who have been have all said it wasn't worth it.

I'm glad you asked! Sounds like it's not worth it until they're older (if at all). We'll find something else to go to this year.

It sounds neat but it's soooooo expensive! Not sure it's worth the cost.

@Mamaof2: there is a living social deal, $20 for weekends, $17 for weekdays. I went years ago in Nashville to the grinch one and it was cool. This was pre kids though. Just asked DH if he wants to go to this one and he said it's too cold for DD (she's one).

@NeekieRose: I was just going to post that!
One of the moms in DDs preschool was just talking about that today. She said they went last year and it was really cool. We're considering going, but there is no way on earth my DD would go down that slide...she won't go down most of the ones at the playground

@NeekieRose: oh thank you! I think I will just take DS - $40 for 2 isn't bad~

@Mamaof2: You're welcome! I bet you will have a great time with your son!

We were going to take Chloe last year but didn't. The price was kind of ridiculous!
