    @yellowbeach: @Sams Mom: @Lazb:
    Thank you, ladies.

I was wondering if UTIs can definitively sway a LH strip. I seem to be back on the rise with my levels so either:
    (1) I didn't OV on my last surge OR
    (2) The protein in my urine from the infection caused a misread on my OPK. [* I have read that this is a possibility, albeit, a slim one.]
IDK, but at this point, between a bruised skull (🀣) and possible UTI, the LAST thing I want to do is BD. 😢

@Kaohinani: wow. Glad you’re okay now. That would be scary. And, a uti to top it off as your cherry on the cake?! Hope not. That lh thing is weird. Maybe you just had a random higher-ish one today.

@Petitduck: Thank you. I'm hoping it is an anomaly. Perhaps, the protein in my urine OR, simply my urine has been super concentrated. Not quite sure what is up. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Of course, I'm going to keep tracking LH and, if possible, continue BD-ing because at the end of the day it is all about TTC. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

So my husband just left for his shift. During this shift will be the first anniversary of his officer involved shooting. To say I'm stressed out about and for him right now is an understatement

I'm maintaining a pretty consistent LH level. Thinking this weekend is still pretty on track for O

@Kaohinani: of course you are. Gold star!

@Sams Mom: I hope the shift is kind to him and you. What an important hurdle. I couldn’t imagine what that would be like.

@Sams Mom: thinking of DH. I’m sure he has great situational awareness and won’t let this be a distraction while at work. I hope tomorrow and the time off just after is kind to you both. Sometimes that can be the hardest - when everything slows down.

@Sams Mom: sorry you're so stressed, I can totally understand that. Also, my oh was consistent for days, sooooooo annoying. Hopefully you peak soon!

I was so uncomfortable the past couple of days with ovulation cramps and bloating which is not normal for me. It was on both sides, so hopefully I shot off some good eggs and one sticks! I am sooooooo done with bding for at least a few days. Even my insatiable DH said he needs a break πŸ˜‚

@Kaohinani: Oh no! I'm glad you're doing better.
Your pups had your back the whole time.

FF confirmed OV today and I'm 3 dpo. It was on the 18th just as FF had predicted all along so my POAS date still stands.
We were able to hit O-2 and O so that's not bad, but we hit the same days with no result last cycle.

  11. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@paranundrum: Thank you. You are very sweet. I am glad FF was able confirm OV for you. O-2 and O for BD-ing is pretty good.

@Sams Mom: How was DH's shift last night? How did you hold up? While not the same, my sister (also a cop) was shot at a few months back ... she wasn't hit, but I worry about her every day. I can only imagine how you must feel with it having been your DH and he was involved. My heart goes to you.

OK, onto TTC - FF "confirmed" OV using Tempdrop temps (somehow, they have my OV date as the date I had my LH surge -- Weird). Ovuview, which also uses Tempdrop temps, has NOT confirmed my OV date as of yet. FertiliChart, which charts my Oral BBTs, ALSO has yet to confirm my OV date. I'm still having higher than usual post OV LH strips. IDK WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ Depending on how my ladybits feel later today, I may make DH BD again today just in case. Either I have a mild UTI (urinary frequency, barely any discomfort, and occasional drops of blood) OR urethral irritation/damage. I can't think of anything else. I'm waiting to see if things get better or worse before heading to a doc. (* Yellowbeach, this is where you tell me this is NBD bc I don't have the time for it. πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ€£)

Anyway, I hope all of you ladies have a "Happy Hump Day" (Wednesday)!

  12. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani: There's actually growing evidence that we overtreat UTI with ABX and that we should let otherwise healthy people (no immunocompromise) just clear the infection on their own. But yes, sounds like a mild UTI

  13. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: Thank you, ma'am. Now, how does one get rid of the discomfort? Tylenol, Cranberry, Cider Vinegar, kimchee, and kombacha only go so far here. Lol.

  14. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: @Petitduck: @yellowbeach: @LAZB: So his shift went well. He said he was busy so he didn't have time to think about it. Then he told me some of the calls he worked and I'm left wondering how much better it was deal with these things than mentally rehash last year all night. O well, he seemed to be ok, and I called him and made him put me on speaker phone so I could give his partner a heads up to keep an extra eye on him for me.

As to TTC. I'm really crampy today, but not the worst ovary pain I've had (I'd rate it at a 100 mg Clomid). TMI I'm also pooping a lot and having crazy sex dreams about people I have never thought of in that way ever...

  15. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: I'm glad he did well.

You have the craziest symptoms, lady!!! πŸ˜‚

  16. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: I'm still having stabby painful crap in my left shoulder randomly too. I'm probably dying at an accelerated rate; at least that is what Dr. Google would tell me.

  17. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: Google told me I was dead years ago. 😳🀣🀣🀣🀣 I'm a walking stiff [with a pulse] at this point πŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈ. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ I don't put much into "Dr. Google" at this stage of the game.

  18. yellowbeach

    @Kaohinani @samsmom: a few colleagues have this mug πŸ˜‰

  19. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: hahaha! I straight up tell my doctor he gets a million questions otherwise I consult Dr Google

  20. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

    @yellowbeach: THAT is PERFECT! πŸ‘πŸ˜‚
I do believe many people scare the crud out of themselves "Dr. Googling" and self diagnosing when it would just be easier to ask a professional. (@Sams Mom: I am in no way referring to you. I know you Google for back up info).

  21. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: no offense! I told my doctor that I talk myself out of so many calls and emails so I don't annoy them. He tells me to just ask because I'm nowhere near the most annoying patient he has πŸ˜‚

@Kaohinani: how scary! I’m so happy you are ok. Sounds like you have some loyal pups!

@Sams Mom: I’m glad to hear your hub’s shift went well. Sorry about your shoulder. You think it’s a side effect of Femara?

I went to see a Fertility Specialist yesterday to try to get to the bottom of my recurrent losses. He basically just asked a ton of questions and drained me of all my blood. I won’t have results for a few weeks. I did get to see an ultrasound of my ovaries and had a 17mm follicle on my right side. So my previous tests were not positive I guess. I got this sucker today, so I’m thinking I’ll O today.

  25. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Jessiemuller88: Thank you. They are pretty protective and loyal. I call Pililani my seizure pup... Always there for me.
I hope the specialist has some insight for you that will help you. On a side note, THAT is a blazing OPK! Get to it, lady! πŸ˜‰

  26. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Jessiemuller88: nice positive! I'd bet you'll O tomorrow though since your follicle was only 17 yesterday. Hope you don't need the re after this month!

  27. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@Kaohinani: how is your head? That knot looked painful!! DH and I were both off today, so we covered our bases during my son’s nap!

@LAZB: that’s good to know! What size are they when you ovulate? I’m hoping for the same thing. My OB told me it was fine to try right away, but yesterday the RE said to wait two cycles. My lining was 9 yesterday, so we are going for it and hoping for the best.

  28. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Jessiemuller88: It is lovely looking. 🀣 I shan't take any selfies 🀳soon. πŸ˜‚ In all seriousness, it is tender but I am fine. I am glad you and DH were able to DTD as all naughty kids do. I'm REALLY super keeping everything crossed that you have a sticky BFP this cycle.

  29. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Jessiemuller88: meh, it's probably part of me getting old πŸ˜‚ my family is thoroughly enjoying reminding me that I have months left in my 20s πŸ™„.

It is word though because it started on day 2 of femara and has kept up since then.

  30. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Jessiemuller88: usually in the 20s, I think average is 22-24

  31. Jessiemuller88

    clementine / 973 posts

@Kaohinani: I hope it heals quickly lady, and I hope you get your BFP this cycle too! Fingers crossed 🀞

@Sams Mom: that is strange it started then. I hear ya about getting old though. I’m already in the 30 club, and the smallest things make me sore! I slept wrong and had neck and shoulder pain for over a week!

@LAZB: oh wow. It seems like I’m a few days from it then. Thanks for the info!

3 or 4 DPO - FF STILL has me as having OVed on the same day as my POS OPKs (so 4 dpo); however, OvuView (which uses the same data as FF from my Tempdrop) places OV on CD 11 (so I'm 3 dpo). When I track with oral temps, I OVed at 11 dpo so, I'm at 3 dpo.

My question: Am I 4 or 3 dpo ... and does it really matter?

β€’ FertiliChart (purple) Oral temps (CD 11 OV/3 dpo)
    β€’ FF (yellow) = Tempdrop (CD 10 OV/4 dpo)
    β€’ OvuView (white) = Tempdrop (CD 11 OV/3 dpo)

  33. paranundrum

    clementine / 811 posts

@Kaohinani: If it were me, it wouldn't matter now, but it would definitely matter at the end of the cycle. If I thought I was 12dpo and still not showing any signs of AF, I would be very hopeful, but if I really was 11dpo at that moment, no signs of AF would not be out of the ordinary for me.
I would choose to count CD 11 as OV and if in the end of the cycle I thought I was 12dpo and it was really 13dpo - all the better.

I have no idea what dpo you actually are though...

  34. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Kaohinani: no idea, but I'd go with 3 dpo just to be on the safe side, especially since I generally count o as the day after a positive opk

  35. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

    @Kaohinani: I think you're 4 dpo based on temps

I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a lovely day. To everyone - Happy Friday 😁 and enjoy shopping sales if that is your thing. πŸ›

    @Paranundrum: @Lazb: @Sams Mom:
Thank you, ladies. I still have no clue what dpo I am. When giving updates, I'll just give both dpo. πŸ˜‚ Right now, it is too early for me to have any non-symptoms so I'm just suffering through this lovely UTI (* I get 4 or 5 a year so I'm trying to not abuse antibiotics this go about). #FunStuffNOT

    Any updates with anyone else?
