@mrskansas: fingers crossed it's a good reason you're wanting to test early!

AFM: got my smiley face this morning on my clearblueb digital. I was pretty close to positive on my internet cheapies last night. Lots of EWCM the last couple days. Now to sneak in some BDing with a houseful of guests.

@yellowbeach: @Kaohinani: ok, so I'm supposed to start Prometrium 3 days after LH surge. Should I start in the middle of the day (72 hours later Monday afternoon) or just Monday morning (3 days later). Or am I overthinking all of this? Probably doesn't matter, right?

  4. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Sams Mom: doesn't really matter. I start mine The night of 3dpo

  5. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: From what I know, it doesn't matter as long as you begin it 3 days from the MOST positive LH strip you have had.

After Day 6 of my UTI, I gave in and went to the urgent care center to see the Doc on call. No amount of Cystex, water, chicken broth, unsweetened cranberry juice, d-mannose, Tylenol, yogurt, apple cider vinegar, kombacha, and kimchee was healing me. ☹ Another 7-day treatment of Macrobid -- cue the nausea and poo. Ugh. 😰
On a more positive note - this TWW has been breezing by. Perhaps, because I've been feeling cruddy or maybe because I've been preoccupied with work, appointments, planning for G's 4th Bday, planning to have company around Christmas, decorating, and so on. IDK πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ but it has been whipping by!

@Kaohinani: UTI’s suck. I’m sorry. I have had my fair share of them too. I hope this does the trick for you.

OK, ladies, let us not allow DECEMBER POAS die here. 😒

    D-POAS CPR, Here goes:
6 or 7 DPO - Starting with non-symptoms... or maybe symptoms from the Macrobid, I can't tell anymore. πŸ˜‚
Non-symptoms: Still feel the d#mn UTI, fullness in lower stomach (bloating, uterus, or bladder, who knows? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ), not really hungry, tired, and breasts getting sore (upper toward sides). The last 2 months I had virtually no symptoms so, IDK ... could be something, could be nothing. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Have any of you ladies heard of anyone having a UTI from after OV and last the majority of one's TWW, still going on to have a BFP? πŸ’β€β™€οΈ I haven't personally so I was just looking for anecdotal evidence to keep my morale up this cycle. πŸ˜‰ TIA.

    P.S. Thank you, @Jessiemuller88.

I am officially 1dpo, even though temps haven't confirmed that yet. So I'm in the waiting around for symptoms to be plausible. I start Prometrium tomorrow 3x a day for 16 days or until 10 weeks gestation if this takes.

I’m 5 dpo, nothing exciting happening here. My back is hurting again, but I’m going to wait to do more steroids until after I test.

@Sams Mom: Good luck! Hoping the Prometrium is the golden ticket! πŸ˜‰

@Lazb: I'm sorry to hear your back is bothering you. πŸ˜• Hopefully, something good comes of this cycle. 🀞

I’m 4dpo and nothing exciting happening with me either. I’m bloated and have creamy cm, but those are typical 2ww symptoms for me. I’m hoping someone gets their BFP soon!

    Good morning, ladies.

    Nothing exciting here.
Macrobid is making me feel "ixchee" (icky) as my DS says (* he has a lateral lisp - it is adorable when he says it). It always does. I looked back to my last two cycles on it (January 2018 and March 2018) and Macrobid appears to SHORTEN my luteal phase when I take it. My January cycle was 19 days from AF to AF while March was a whopping 16 day cycle. Both had confirmed OV with a reduced Luteal. A bit frustrated atm that this may [hypothetically] happen a third time as my temps are already dropping at 7/8 dpo. Of course, a two day drop at this time can be anything - good or bad, so I'm trying not to put too much into it. My main concern is that since antibiotics rid one's body of good strains of bacteria/biotics which regulate hormone levels (especially estrogen for producing significant endometrial lining and progesterone to maintain a pregnancy when TTC), aren't I sabotaging myself by taking them post OV? I do know that I need them at this point because my symptoms were pointing to kidney infection which would have been even more detrimental were I actually to conceive (sepsis, miscarriage, etc.). Anyway, just putting my thoughts to paper ... er, rather keypad, as otherwise they'd endlessly float around in my mind all day long. πŸ™„
Thank you for baring with me. πŸ’‹

I don't have any news either. I'm 8dpo today and my temp dropped a bit. I didn't temp yesterday, I didn't sleep at home, but at this point of the cycle I can afford skipping a day. I'm guessing it'll pop back up tomorrow, it's a bit early for me to start a downward trend.
This cycle's non-symptoms include sore breasts, feeling a bit ill/feverish and growing a brand new chin (or possibly a nose?) on my face, I'm hoping it'll make itself scarce as soon as possible...

  19. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@paranundrum: A chin or nose? πŸ˜‚ You are getting the TWW acne? I have never heard it referenced as such. Made me chuckle. Hormonal acne is the worst.

I will come home to an empty of guests home after work! I love everyone that spent time at our house, but 4 people total Wednesday - Saturday then 2 left and the last 2 left this morning.

    I am soooooooo tired!

As for the TTC front, I'm 2 dpo today, started Prometrium this morning. No non-symptoms at this time that can't be attributed to extended entertaining and a 2 year old.

  21. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@paranundrum: I feel you on growing an extra nose or chin. In my case it's a chin, and it will not pop, but it is huge!

Sorry I’ve been MIA the past few days. Obviously Thanksgiving was happening, and of course I was working quite a few days, but yesterday my favorite uncle (only have 2) finally lost his battle to cancer. My mom is devastated as are we all - but now she can’t think about anything but her own mortality since she’s the last one left of her nuclear family. Been FaceTiming with DD to cheer her up. DH and I did spend the day decorating for Christmas πŸŽ„ though which is my all time favorite day of the year, so that was a good offset.

AFM, I go back to the RE tomorrow morning for an US and estradiol level. I’m hoping things are on track. One thing the US is looking for is to make sure I’m not ovulating on my own through the estrogen. I’ve been temping (whatever that’s worth on a medicated cycle) and the occasional OPK with no signs of OV. So hoping for good news tomorrow that we are on track for our Dec 3 transfer.

Out of curiosity- my OPK did this weird dye run thing. Is that a second too long in the dip?

  23. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: yep, that's just a run from a little too long of a dip in the pee. Glad everything seems to be on track for your expected transfer date.

AFM: I'm a ding dong and left my Prometrium at work, so I'm missing tonight's dose πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Nothing exciting today (8/9 dpo). Had a bit of Creamy CM today. Tired and a wee bit crampy. Ate cottage cheese 2 days straight (which I haven't had since I was living with my parents before college for my undergraduate degrees.). Still, nothing uber-exciting. πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

I figured I would post my chart because to POAS would be pointless this early. πŸ™„ My chart is "so vanilla" (as my DD says) this month that it is painful. 🀣 No exciting "dramatic" dips to keep me on the edge of my seat, no accelerated rises, no triphasic level - BORING! 😴 LOL.

Well as expected I woke up to my period this morning. This last cycle was over 40 days so it may be a long time before I even ovulate. It seems like my cycles are 40+ days, then a standard 28 days... and repeat.

My RE has never diagnosed me officially with PCOS but I think my erratic cycles are evidence of some ovulatory dysfunction going on.

  30. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@mrskansas: I'm sorry to read that. ☹ Since you suspect the possibility of PCOS or a similar cause of hormonal dysfunction which would cause ovulatory metergasis, will you be requesting additional testing to find out why your cycles are so long?

  31. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Kaohinani: I think I've done all the testing my RE recommended.
The most recent labs I had done were in Feb and here are my results. If I remember correctly they were taken on CD 3.
    Estradiol: 20
    FSH: 5.19
    TSH: 1.6
    AMH: 6.36

We also did chromosome testing on myself and my husband and that was normal. HSG was good.

  32. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@mrskansas: Wow, everything does look within the scope of normal numbers. πŸ€” The only other things your RE may suggest are as follows: a pelvic exam, another transvaginal US, a possible second HSG, and, in rare cases, exploratory surgery. Heck, he/she may try therapeutic doses of fertility medications in the hopes of shortening your cycle a bit.

  33. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Kaohinani: I just don't think it's an ovulation issue that's preventing me from getting pregnant. With my daughter, the first month we tried I ovulated on CD 23 and it stuck. And then when we tried for #2 I got pregnant the first cycle (ectopic), the cycle after that (MC), waited one cycle and then I got pregnant again (another MC).
Now it's been almost two years and still nothing. We've done clomid, femara and injectables + IUI with no luck. I almost feel at this point it has to be an implantation issue but I don't know what that would be/how to fix it.

  34. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Kaohinani: The first/last HSG I had was a year ago so that could be a good idea to repeat. I also thought about asking for a semen analysis since my husband was only checked at the time we did an IUI (everything was fine though).
Also maybe an endometrial biopsy to rule out issues there.

Lining looks good ~10mm and trilaminar. I had my estradiol drawn but it won’t come back til this afternoon. They want it to be >200. If it is, which I’m optimistic for, we are on for Dec 3 and I will start progesterone shots tomorrow. Getting close!

@kaohinani: I’m actually glad your chart looks steady without all those stressful dips to analyze. Maybe something different is a good sign

  36. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@mrskansas: IDK, πŸ€” definitely something to ask your RE about. I hope you are able to find out something helpful and soon. If you find anything and feel comfortable doing so, please share as I'm certain it would be helpful to someone else here reading these posts.

  37. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: GREAT NEWS! I am beyond keeping my fingers crossed for you! πŸ˜‰πŸ€ž ... I have fingers, toes, arms, and legs. 🀣

Thank you. Perhaps, you are correct and my "mundane" chart could, potentially, be my lucky indicator. Who knows at this point?!?! πŸ˜‚

  38. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

So I was expecting to have me seriously ridiculous side effects luck with the prometrium... So far nothing, but I am also only 5 pills into this.

And I just took my lunch time pill and it got caught in the back of my throat and wouldn't go down. Maybe I should have gone with the vaginal ones.

  39. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: Just imagine if the vaginal ones got stuck. πŸ€”πŸ˜³ OR if you forgot they were vag tabs. 😱😝 Sorry, I joke. πŸ˜‚
I am extremely happy that you have found something that has not caused a side effect.

  40. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: I'm hoping the stay away. I've still got 14 1/2 days of this stuff. The worst part is they're perfectly round and small, so they just hang in the back of your throat. At least my vagina can't suffocate me!

This is my most relaxed cycle in the last year, and maybe even since starting to try for #2. Maybe your abnormal for you chart and my oddly calm cycle is lucky for both of us!
