December POAS - Santa Babies!

    I think I screwed up calculating ovulation this cycle. I'm pretty sure I O'ed yesterday, but we only DTD four days prior. That's probably not close enough for success. In any event, I will probably not even test this cycle so you can take me off the list. Here's to 2016!

    I had my epidural injection today. And I ovulate tomorrow. I was given the ok to go ahead, gently. lol

    I was really good about not obsessing over this TWW but once I passed what was hopefully implantation time I'm running all symptoms through my head (and google).

    3 more days till test day!!

    @LML: 4 days is a wee bit on the long-ish side, but, it's still possible!

    @wheres_c: awesome!

    @artsyfartsy: we have all been there (some of us multiple times!)

    I am supposed to test tomorrow, but did it today. My test was a dud, boo! If my period doesn't show up tomorrow I'll test on Saturday, although I don't feel like it happened this month. Last time I had implementation bleeding, so I've been watching, but nothing this month. Congrats to all the positives so far!!!!!

    @wheres_c: Men love a challenge!

    @LML: What makes you think you mis-calculated?

    @babypugs: There is no way I would be able to wait . . . I would probably hit up Amazon for some at-my-door-in-no-time tests. And I read somewhere that only about 20-30% of women experience implantation bleeding, and that a lack of IB doesn't mean you're any less pregnant.

    @pwnstar: Thanks! I swung by the Dollar Tree for a cheapie, but they were out, nooo!!! If it doesn't happen this month, I'm definitely going the Amazon route. It's going to be a long day.

    I've been using opks for two weeks now and finally got a positive today. I had almost given up on this cycle. So I need to change my POAS date. I think I'll go with 12/28.

    @babypugs: I don't know how you can wait! I keep a stash of the amazon cheap ones at home.

  12. pwnstar

    pear / 1718 posts

    @catlady: YAY!!!

    @babypugs: I agree with @catlady: . . . I don't know how you do it! I go through an obscene amount of tests every cycle. I've tried to be more patient and wait, but I am what I am!

    @catlady: @pwnstar: Haha it is killing me! No period yet and I usually start right on time the morning it's due--should I cave and buy one during lunch?!

    Not sure why I stopped getting notifications for new posts, but here I am checking in. Got my solid smiley after 6(!) days of flashing ones. If I O tomorrow or the next day, that means my follicular phase would be 18-19 days long. I read somewhere that delayed ovulation indicates poor egg quality and poor lining for implantation.

    Good luck to everyone still waiting to test and hugs to those who got a visit from AF.

    @catlady: @marley: Yay for positive OPKS! I got one today also! fx that we can all be due date twins!!
    @marley I woudn't worry too much just get busy!!!

    pear / 1718 posts

    @babypugs: So sorry! Here's hoping we graduate to a due date board soon!

    @marley: YAY for smileys! And, from what I've read, delayed ovulation (day 13 or later) is not a sign of egg quality concerns; it is more commonly a sign of an excess ovarian reserve. As an aside, fwiw, early ovulation (like for me this cycle!) can imply lower quality eggs . . . although I am hoping the early O is a result of my vitamin d intake and not egg quality. *fx*

    kiwi / 706 posts

    @pwnstar: this stuff is too confusing. I'm also taking vitamin D now (because of your post!) along with about 50 other things...I'm pretty sure my body is saying wtf to me right now.

  24. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

    @marley: Outing myself as a creeper on this thread, but I have one DD who was the result of ovulating around day 30 (?!!?) and am 20w now when I ovulated on day 22. So it's not necessarily a sign of bad anything

  25. pwnstar

    pear / 1718 posts

    @marley: My vitamin d doses are HUGE (50,000 IU 1 x week) and had to be prepared by a specialty pharmacy . . . it's so hard to know what's helping and what's hurting (if anything), especially when factors vary so much from person to person! *augh* It is so exhausting (and such a huge distraction!).

  26. skipra

    I have also been lurking here but not quite ready to join. @pwnstar: My older DS is the result of ovulating on CD 7... which I thought was impossible. You never know!

    @marley: Good luck!!!

    @babypugs: Aw. Sorry lady

    Bought the pregnancy tests to take on Sunday. Itching to go ahead and take one. I'm 8dpo so it would most likely be a waste. Lol

    Two more days...two more days

  28. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

    @artsyfartsy: @sslm: @pwnstar: thanks for the support, ladies! I guess we all just have to say "let's see what happens!" I'm really tired of POAS by the way.

  29. pwnstar

    pear / 1718 posts

    @artsyfartsy: I don't know about the accuracy of this information, but here is the chart for positive HPTs at 8dpo:

    http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=8

    @skipra: Thank you! My CBFM picked up my LH surge on CD9, so I am hoping that I O'd on CD10 or 11 . . . if it's CD10, it's considered "early," but if it's CD11, then it's considered "ideal" . . . go figure!

  30. pwnstar

    pear / 1718 posts

    @marley: It's totally a *hurry up and wait* event . . . and yeah, I am pretty tired of sticks too. If I had kept them all (CBFM sticks and HPTs), I'm pretty sure I could be over halfway done with a badass Eiffel Tower model!

    @babypugs: Aw, sorry! Wishing you good luck for next month!

    @marley: Not sure if it helps to know, but I'm pretty sure I ovulated on cd25 for my LO. I'm also cd25 today and just got a positive opk. I don't ever ovulate before day 20 or so.

    I really don't want to get a false negative, but I also can never wait. DH talked me into testing tomorrow morning at 9dpo so I guess I'm caving. I'll let you all know how it goes!

  35. pwnstar

    pear / 1718 posts

    @artsyfartsy: I don't think I have ever heard (on HB) of someone's DH *talking them into* POAS! That is AWESOME! 🍀🍀🍀

  36. artsyfartsy

    cantaloupe / 6692 posts

    @pwnstar: He's probably just tired of hearing me talk about testing and wants to get it over with. haha!

  37. LCTBQE

    nectarine / 2461 posts

    @marley: agree with everyone else, I don't think that's true as a blanket statement. think about all the healthy women with 32-day cycles--they're all ovulating around the time you are now

  38. skipra

    pomegranate / 3350 posts

    Can I ask you ladies for opinions even though I haven't joined? This is our first cycle NTNP and I have no idea when or if I have ovulated. Based on my previous cycles I should have sometime between Thurs last week and this past Sun. I can't say for sure it did, which means it probably did not happen, right? I also had some very weak signs of it today, so maybe but probably not. What would you do about testing??? Just assume it's an annovulatory cycle and wait for AF? Is it ok to ask that? I don't want to start a thread!

  39. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

    @skipra: I don't think anyone can be sure that they've ovulated unless you temp. Why are you assuming that you didn't? I would start testing this Sunday.

  40. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

    @skipra: do you normally have annovulatory cycles? If not I'd assume you ovulated at some point. I probably start testing next Monday until AF shows.
