Since we elected not to sign up for any type of cable/satellite when we bought our house a year ago, we've had to live with being behind on many of our favorite shows.
After a bit of a delay, we are finally getting the first disc of season four of True Blood this week via our Netflix subscription! So excited. We'll still be an entire season behind, but oh well.

@highwire: Series marathons are the most fun ever!!
My husband and I used to just spend many many straight evenings of watching episode after episode. The sad part is when you're caught up and have to wait a week for each episode.

@regberadaisy: We get 3 discs at a time, so hopefully we won't have to do too much waiting.
We usually do older shows that have already run their course, so the wait time is limited and we can see the entire story in a short period of time.

@highwire: Have you ever watched LOST? I've heard that it's a million times better when you watch it on DVD/streaming and you don't have to wait like, 6 years to get the full story

I love being able to watch a whole series on my time and not have to wait a week for the next episode. We have cable, but sometimes I do that anyway.

I'm behind on True Blood too. I haven't seen the 4th season yet. My husband surprised me the other day with the first season. He decided he wants to watch it. So we're going to watch them all together now.
I love to watched series after they have aired.

Other series I've watched in one big chunk were Dexter, Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey. Having to watch season 5 of Breaking Bad one hour a week is going to kill me!

That was what DH and I do all the time (esp prebaby!) Love Netflix for that. Right now we are into BBC series- currently watching Hustle and just finished Being Human.

We love doing this! Yay for Netflix We watched all of How I Met Your Mother recently and now we’re making our way through Grey’s Anatomy. Love them both! I also watched Downton Abbey all at once (and loved it too). I’m thinking about starting on Mad Men once we finish Grey’s.

We've watched Dexter, Nip Tuck, Lost, and now we're watching Weeds and Breaking Bad. We also watched The Killing and I was so hooked that I had to find season 2 online and watch it all.

i'm a huge LOST fan too! other ones i loved were mad men, breaking bad, downtown abbey, and the new sherlock holmes (the new bbc series, there have only been 2 seasons).
i need a new show to binge on though. this summer tv dry spell is killing me.
