Tungsten.
Buuuut...I've decided that for our 5-year anniversary, I'm going to surprise him with a new band and I'm going to get a matching one!

He has this one. It is tungsten carbide, and it literally has not left his finger even once since our wedding 3 years ago. Despite this its still super shiny! Miracle metal haha. It looks more charcoal grey than light grey in person.

Plain yellow gold! For some reason he was very insistent he just wanted the classic yellow gold band.

White gold with diamonds. He really wanted diamonds! He just looked at me like I was crazy for snapping this pic.

@Leialou: LOL i did that the other day. D also wanted bling. and asked why I was snapping a photo (texting afriend)

White gold. He wanted it look like someone cut a piece of a pipe. So it has a rubbed finish instead of being shiny. Not describing right..

Plain, yellow gold, comfort fit band. We actually got a crazy good deal on it because we shopped at a sort of fancy-ish jewelry store for our first wedding-ring-shopping stop...and they had to bring the plain bands out of the back room since nobody goes there to buy plain ones. Haha. The price hadn't been updated in so long that they were way cheap, for 18k gold! But they had to sell it to us for the marked price. It was even cheaper than a similar band on Blue Nile!

Also, he wanted plain yellow gold because that's what both of our dads have.

This is the only picture I have of it!
It's a plain gold band, just like mine but a little bit thicker.

DH's was custom-made, inspired by his dad's ring but with a twist to make it his own. It's platinum to match mine.

Plain comfort-fit platinum. I encouraged him to add a little flair, like milgrain edges or something, but he wanted none of it

He's a simple man and so is his ring. Just a simple flat band with edge corners in platinum.

So much man bling!!
We picked the cheapest, simplest, Easiest to replace band we could find because we knew if we got something fancy, he'd lose it. So of course he has never lost it.

It's just a thick white gold band. I made it - we made each others rings!

@mrs. wagon: yup to the cheap to replace. Of course my dh did lose his 2 months after the wedding. Still haven't replaced it, though. Maybe this year, ha.

The one ring. Lol. A plain 'ol yellow gold band. That's what he wanted.

@mrs. wagon: I think the one we got was less than $100...maybe even less than $50! I think he wore it the day we got married, and hasn't worn it since. He just can't get used to wearing jewelry, and I have never pushed the issue.

White gold, with our wedding date represented in binary. One etched line for zero, two for one. The second digit was represented by segments that were or were not buffed, but that quickly wore off.

White gold, with a "ditch," as he calls it. His ring has a groove along the top edge and mine has tiny diamonds in the same location, all around the top. They coordinate.

It is a 8mm wide tungsten band. It has a satin center with polished edges. Between the width, weight, lack of "shine", and the deep grey color of the metal it's a very masculine ring so I think it suites him!

Missing! He lost it a couple of weeks ago when taking gloves on and off while we were at a parade.

Black tungsten. I'm not really into jewelry on men, but I dig his ring. This isn't the exact one, but I just googled "black tungsten," and this is the first one that popped up...

Palladium 8mm. The edges slope. It's split into three sections with milgrain detail separating the sections. The middle section has a brushed look, while the outer sloping sections are shiny. Here's a pic.
