LO has always used pampers Snugglers (tried Huggies but he leaked out of every last one and Up and Up but we didn't love the smell) We have never had a single problem with the Pampers until about the last three weeks. LO has blown out his diaper nearly every single time he has pooped. We tried going up a size but to no avail. He is always leaking out the legs and occasionally the top. Any suggestions for fixing this? Do we need a different type? Better fit? The diapers seem to fit well now so I am at a loss....help!

I'd try another brand. Did LO recently become more mobile? We're having an issue with LO getting diaper wedgies these days and I think it's because he's trying so hard to walk and he's learned to fall on his bottom.

@tillma: I think snugglers are Huggies- are you using pampers swaddlers? I found those were great! You might want to just keep trying different brands until you find one that works.

What kind are you using now? Because yeah like @pinkcupcake: said, Pampers make Swaddlers, Huggies makes Snugglers. Any other changes, like more solids, just starting to crawl, etc?

Whoops! Pampers Swaddlers are what we use not Snugglers, my bad. Chalk that up to trying to post while simultaneously controlling a squirmy baby!
@applesandbananas: LO is six months and rolling and working on crawling so he is more mobile than before. -
This might be dumb, but do you have the frilly parts around the legs pulled out? When we don't pull those out we soetimes get leaks/blowouts.

Have you tried changing even the type of Pampers? Maybe to the Cruisers or something? When I use Swaddlers now, it gets REALLY heavy because she is older and pees more volume? I don't notice it as much in the Cruisers.

Yeah, I'd give Pampers Cruisers or Pampers Baby Dry a try.

I never noticed a smell with Up & Up so I am unsure as to what you are talking about there. They are the only diapers we have had any real success with. Have you considered giving them a second try?

@hilsy85: yes! It took me awhile to figure out if that part isn't pulled out all the way, we will have a blow out
