DS 5 mos has a pretty nasty diaper rash. The skin is pretty raw and red though not bleeding. It doesn't see to bother him. I was wondering what kind of remedies and creams you would recommend? We use A&D cream right now but I don't really think it's working. Thanks!

I swear by Triple Paste. I buy it in the big tub at Target. It is almost $20 which is expensive but it lasts a long time and does the job better and quicker than anything else I've tried.

We use Desitin for the really bad rashes.

My DD was having really bad diaper rash with her recent cold. Our ped ordered us Nystatin that we mix with A&D and really lathered on. It cleared up really fast! She also recommended in the meantime either rinsing out wipes out or using damp viva paper towels to wipe. The wipes were really harsh on her sore bum. Good luck! It's so sad to see them in so much discomfort from rash!

Triple paste! My daughter gets diaper rash really easily and we put it on after every diaper change. It really works! It expensive at 20 for a big tub, but it lasts a LONG time.

@twodoghouse: I'm going to try this. We already use unscented sensitive wipes, but H is screaming when we touch her with them.
OP: we use Bordeaux's butt paste. It's cleared up every rash she has had within a few days.

Pinxav really helped with the rashes when she was a baby. She had a diaper rash recently which was actually a yeast infection, and for that we used Lotrimin along with Desitin.

We also like triple paste. For a really bad rash what worked for us was layering Vaseline and then the maximum strength desitin.
