My 7 month old has had a nasty diaper rash for the last couple of days. It's super red and has little sores throughout, which are now so bad there are little spots of blood when I gently wipe. I feel so bad! I emailed our pediatrician for advice, but in the meantime has anyone dealt with that?

So far we do open air time when we can- but it's pretty limited since she is very mobile and we have a toddler, so it's tough. Wipe with wet paper towels when we can, though I will be more diligent about it. Dry butt completely before applying diaper rash cream- I've tried Boudreaux's butt paste and triple paste and it seems to make no difference at all- it's continuing to get worse. Just now I just put a thick layer of aquaphor on instead to see if it will help heal the sores.

Have no changed diaper or wipe brands at all. She recently got into solids and so her pooping has changed a lot. She now poops very frequently with very small amounts, so even though I'm changing her all the time it's very sticky. I also was on antibiotics last week.

Any other advice? I just feel so bad for her. She yells when she poops but I'm sure that's also related to being a little backed up from starting solid foods anyway.
