I made it all day without knowing what happened. I was so careful... and then 2 minutes before the *crucial* moment, my cousin posted the result on Facebook and spoiled it for me. A little bit of a let-down after my own build up to it... Did this happen to you too?

Oh no! I have given up trying to stay in a bubble--the results are everywhere. I think I heard them on npr on the way home. So my new plan is to surrender to finding out what happened during the day and then watch the primetime to see how it all came about.

@MamaCate: Usually you don't care... but we don't have TV and we made a huge effort to follow this narrative... so I had my fingers in my ears all day! I did so well. I just should have waited to check Facebook for 2 more minutes!

No, I was able to watch them online today so I was the first to see. I had removed all spoiler news and sports outlets from the one place I spend a lot of time - twitter. Except... The Baltimore Ravens feed I follow ruined swimming for me! Haha. That just mad me laugh.

The New York Times posted about women's gymnastics in my FB feed... I didn't mind too much though... Made me excited to watch it and see how it all came about.

I made it all day yesterday without knowing, and then 15 minutes before Olympic coverage started on NBC, our local NBC commentators ruined it! Boo.

people are constantly updating results on facebook. I dont mind this year but I think its a bit inconsiderate for people who want to watch it.

i made it all day without hearing anything - then was on facebook at 5:30 and my co-worker who sits next to me had liked an article saying who won gold last night!
I was bummed!
