It seems like everyone's baby has teeth at a much younger age than DD. She'll be 9 months in less than 2 weeks and no sign of teeth!
Did your baby's teeth come in late?

not what you're asking, but i got teeth late. i walked without teeth (i also walked early though, at 9 months) my mom was thrilled because it meant less time nursing a baby with teeth and they all came in perfectly, i've never had braces and didn't get a cavity until i was in my 20s. i'm sure if the dr is concerned they'll mention something, but for now one less thing to brush and no teeth to bite you with!

Yup! Mine didn't get teeth until she was 10.5 months old. But once she did, the two bottom popped out simultaneously. Her third one (upper left) came in the day after she turned one.

E turned 9months earlier this week and there's still no sign of teeth. I've heard up until 14 months is in the normal range.

I didn't get teeth until I was 18 months. They even did x-rays to make sure the teeth were there (inside the gums). My teeth turned out fine but I did end up losing them later than normal too. I didn't lose my first tooth until 3rd grade.

My SIL (who is a pediatric dentist) has a daughter who didn't get her first tooth until after a year. They came in quickly once they started and didn't seem to bother her as much as my son's teeth, which came in early. It's a blessing to be later because they can be distracted by playing and other stuff!

LO is almost 10 months and still no teeth! His bottom two seem close to cutting, but who knows when they will actually pop through.

Whew, thanks! All of this is reassuring. DD wants to eat real food so bad but I just want her to get some teeth in first

Our LO is almost 14 months and just got her first tooth last month. Now she has 6 coming in all at once though. All of her baby friends got their teeth way before LO, even the younger ones. Our pediatrician told us at her 1 year appointment to wait a couple more months and if she still had no teeth, we would take X-rays and check with the entomologist.

A friend's daughters just got get first ones at 14 months. Mine is 13 months and has stopped at 7 incisors. Another friend's boy the same age is cutting a molar and has way more teeth than mine.

Mine were pretty on time, but my best friends little girl was past a year when she got her first one. It varies so much@
