I am now about 12 lbs from my pre preg weight and I still can't wear my wedding rings. They won't even go passed my knuckle. They weren't tight at all before I got pregnant.
Is it possible my fingers are just bigger?? Did this happen to anyone?? How long should I wait before getting my rings resized?

@Dandelion: 3 months!!! It's bumming me out. I haven't worn my rings since I was about 25 weeks

I'm 15 months pp and I still cant wear mine. My knuckles are too big.
Im only 3lbs over my pre-preg weight and well under what I weighed when I had to take them off at 24 weeks.

@sslm: Try a little experiment...put your hands up in the air for about 10-15 minutes (or longer, if you can stand it) so that the fluids can drain down. If the rings still can't get on, then it's probably time to resize them.
(Hand models do this before getting photographed, lol...makes the hands smaller)

@sslm: If you have to do it every time you put your rings on or off, it might not be a good thing, lol

@sslm: Yeah, probably once we get back to the states. Im in hte process of losing weight, so we'll see if it works. I'm doubtful though.

At 9 months pp my knuckles are still bigger...not my finger, just my knuckle! And I'm at my pp weight. Annoying! I should just get my rings resized...

I haven't been able to wear my rings since 6w and I haven't put on any weight (15 weeks now) stupid extra fluids.

I'm +10 lb, 3 months pp, but I can only wear the wedding band comfortably. Forget my engagement ring. I'm going to wait until the fall, though. I'm hoping summer is making them tight

@sslm: I got really frustrated when I couldn't get my wedding ring back on at 6 months postpartum and got it resized. I totally regret it!! Once I slowed down breastfeeding (around 9.5/10 months) I lost the last few pounds and everything shrunk back to normal (and beyond) - my ring now swings around on my finger.

@rachiecakes: oh no!! Hmm. Perhaps I should wait... I'm just so sad to be walking around ring less. I love my rings!!!
I also have an engineering ring that you wear on your pinky and that won't fit either!!!

@sslm, when you breast feed, your body releases relaxin-could be why your knuckle feels expanded!

7 months and my band still doesn't fit. I am trying to lose weight before getting it resized! I bought my band at my absolute skinniest pre-wedding weight so I am not surprised it doesn't fit. Hahaha. Will probably end up resizing.

@sslm: I know! By 6 months I was like 'f this' and got it resized only to find 3 months later it was too big, ugh. I also got rid of some heels I bought during pregnancy but never wore because of the swelling and around the 9 month mark I could comfortably fit back into some of my size 7's again (though I now by 7.5 in most shoes).

@blackbird: hmmm, that's interesting!! I'd hate to not be able to wear it for a year! Then we'll be ttc again and I'll just have to remove them again

My band fits but I can't wear my engagement ring with my band comfortably! I am 3.5 months pp.

@sslm: My fingers went back to normal, but my feet stayed half a size larger. weird!

LOL, when I read this first I thought it read "Did anyone's figure stay bigger post partum?" Fingers - no, figure - alas, yes.
