Sorry, anooother sleep post from me : )
We're trying to get A on a sleep schedule as we've been leaving her until she's super overtired and kicking off with all her might.
Last night we didn't let her nap past 4pm and got her down for 6pm - huge success with a few dreamfeeds thrown in and a happier baby today. Big smiles all round : )
Today though she was fighting her naps. I got her down for her lunchtime nap (her morning one was in the ergo as we were out) but she wouldn't go down for her 3.15pm nap, even though she was acting tired. She got upset and it was a repeat of every evening this last week. So anyway I got her to sleep at 5pm. Our new bedtime is 6pm, so instead of treating that as her nap, I put that down as a failed nap and instead dreamfed her and put her down for the night then. I figured that if I woke her at 5.45pm, bedtime would be at about 8pm and that was too late we would end up melting down again.
Did I do the right thing? DH isn't so sure..... I plan to dreamfeed her at 9pm and maybe again at midnight, so she won't miss feedings.
