I got DH VIP tickets to see Aaron Lewis in July, so that's his main gift, and will hopefully do dinner sometime.
Got nothing for my dad yet, but looking for ideas and DIY things to make for both!

We don't usually do gifts but I think I might get DH a mini shop vac so he can vacuum out my car since it seems to drive him crazy how messy the boys make it. It's sort of a joke gift, but he will also appreciate it.

We don't do gifts, normally. I take DD to the store to pick out a card. And I'll make whatever meal and dessert he wants for dinner.
I just send my dad a card. We're pretty boring.

@catgirl: We don't really do gifts or anything super special either
Usually just hang out with both sides of the family either grilling out or going out! Some years I got him funny dad shirts. I recently took a really great pic of my dad with the girls so I am going to make a mug out of it.

We are going to a baseball game. It's our local single A team. They are doing a brunch buffet with the purchase of club tickets. Then the dads get to run the bases with the kids after the game. We don't do gifts, just usually something we can all do together.

@psw27: lol, thats a great idea. My DH also constantly complains about how dirty the van is.
@graceandjoy: the mug is a super sweet idea. I do have some good pics of my dad with the kids.
@KT326: That sounds awesome!

@josina: I know, it just happened by chance so I'm capitalizing on that haha!

I'll be cooking a nice breakfast and dinner for my husband since thats something I really enjoy and E "helped" me pick out a card and she will make him something at daycare. For my dad he and I are going to make our own mozzarella and then I'll take him out to dinner and then its just cards for my grandfathers.

i just ordered gifts! I got him a set of copper mugs for cocktails and a t-shirt with a comic he really likes (Strange Planet by Nathan Pyle, which is all over my social media these days and he cracks up about it daily...)

I got him a sticky note pad with DS face faded in the background that says "The Boss" on top.. bc DH says he's the boss however I really think DS is.. LOL
I got a cool pic of DD printed of her fishing, it's a really great pic and it's "their thing" so I put a title under it and got it in a 5x7 for his office
and he just found a shirt that he wanted so I got that for him... something like "dad- a sons first hero, a daughters first love"

We don't do anything big but I'm getting him a pair of these socks: https://www.divvyupsocks.com/numberonedad with our daughter's picture on it. I'm also getting him a gift card to a movie theater near us so he can take DD to see Toy Story 4 (they're both big movie lovers and I'm due with #2 two days before it comes out so we both can't go).

I need to come up with something little but he's getting a new smoker since his old one rusted out. We need more smoked meats! It's a combo birthday/father's day present.

We're planning to be home visiting his parents for part of the Father's Day weekend and will be going to a concert that Monday night after in an adjacent city, leaving the kids for our first night away. So, that's his gift, which I will certainly enjoy as well!
Other than that I'll let him sleep in that day (or a day close to the holiday), and I'll make him whatever dinner he wants. I'll also take LO to the store with me to pick out a card or have her make one and I'll stamp the baby's hand or foot or something in it so she's included too

@crazydoglady: Aww I love these books! I'm saving this idea for when LO2 is older so we better know what she'll look like!

We don’t really do gifts (at least not consistently) but I passed by a Doob3D store by me and I knew right away he would get such a kick out of it on his desk. So I took the kids one morning and got it done. I just got the doob back and it’s adorable.

@lindseykaye: That's why I picked the most baby looking options haha
eta: there aren't really a lot of options. it's basically skin color, eye color, hair color, and hair style. Oh and freckles or glasses.

We don’t really do much for gifts. I know DS has made a card at school. I think we will get a stepping stone kit and make him one for the garden. I’ll let DH pick what I make for dinner.

We are in contract on an old Victorian house so I think I am going to buy him a book about steam heating systems 🤩

My inlaws are going to be in town, but my husband hates spending money, so everything I've suggested as an experience gift for he and his dad, he's shot down, haha. I might still buy something anyway, because I owe him. I've been sick for weeks lately and he's been really stepping in at home, and we already have a pretty equitable split. Like he's been taking all night wakeups (yes, one of our kids still wakes anywhere from 1-4 times a night), he's been cooking me breakfast, texting me reminders to take my meds, even calling a doctor for me that I wasn't getting an appointment for....more actual load and more mental load for him.
At the very least, a good sleep in.

@Ajsmommy: the post idea is really cute, I'd love to gift that to my DH with my face on it though, lol.
@skinnycow: Great idea, we def. will be going to see Toy Story and it'd be a great gift 'from' DS! I may have to do this also!
@crazydoglady: That book is so adorable. I def. want one someday!
@Anagram: Sounds like you have a great catch! Hope you feel better!

Just found this online, so I'm thinking I'll have the kids help make for the grandpas. I know my dad will love it b/c my mom has diabetes so sugar is low in the house.

@skinnycow: OMG these socks. They are hilarious. I just ordered DH a pair. I had no idea what to get him, thank you for posting!

Since my husband's birthday is within a week of father's day we usually do a combo gift. This year he's getting a fossil wear OS watch since they're on sale right now and it last watch died on him a couple months ago.
