I am in Christmas shopping panic mode.
DH has everything. For the past years I gave him blurb photo books, sweaters, family picture in frames, and DS's drawing in frames before. I can't buy him electronics/gadgets because he does extensive research on them and whatever I buy would be wrong. I've bought him a wallet before and he returned it.

A wallet, wireless headphones, a cashmere scarf and gloves, and the Minipresso that I saw on the blog the other day.
My husband is also a return-er and I've stopped worrying about it. I buy him things I hope he'all like and if he wants to take it back then he can use the money to buy something he really wants.

Last year I took him to the Star Wars movie so maybe we'll do that again if I can find one at a good time. So far I just got him some motion sensor solar lights for the driveway and a Fire stick, so nothing really nice for him to enjoy. LO's picked out a silly Star Wars M&M dispenser, lol.

My husband and I get each other one large gift that is birthday/anniversary/christmas. This year, my husband picked out a jigsaw. Last year, I got him an hour session flying a helicopter.
As far as something to open on Christmas morning, my son and I will go to a department store and pick some stuff up, like pajama pants.

DH is super hard for me and I gifted him a large present for his birthday and our 5 year anniversary this year.
So Christmas is: A new garmet suitcase, Some clothing staples from JCrew, a 6 mos subscription to Dollar Shave Club and a Personalized Calendar for his desk at work.
I plan to go to Target or a local golf shop to have the girls pick out a gift for him from them.

@irene: You aren't alone! I haven't purchased one thing for DH yet. We are hoping to get a new kitchen table/chairs, so our gifts to each other will be small. We set a $50 limit and I'm stumped.

We're not exchanging gifts. We bought a house in the fall and that's going to have to be our big gift to each other for all occasions this year. I'm giving him a baby for his birthday, though. Baby is due right around his birthday.

We won't do anything big as we just bought a house and $2k worth of appliances and bathtubs and toilets to upgrade. But I like the idea of LO picking something out for him, so I will take her shopping to pick out some small stuff for him.

Some set of tools he circled in the Lowe's ad. Then a sample set of bitters for whiskey, probably will get new whiskey/bourbon bottle to go with it. Not sure if I will get anything else or not. Stocking is some new shave cream and a lotion he likes but never goes to the mall to get, plus some candy. I will take LO shopping to pick something out for him from her.

Im getting another photo calendar and maybe a photo mug! They are more household gifts than for him! But we decided we were not really going to do gifts but save up for our next trip!

We're not dping big things this year b/c neither of us can think of anything we need. I may get him a replacement Cleveland Indians hat - it's one that's a hard design to find, and a book about the baseball hall of fame. His birthday is two weeks later and I'd like to try and get ncaa tix.

We don't exchange gifts. Less pressure and we have everything we need. We do exchange stockings and I got what I needed for those at target yesterday 2 pairs of socks, chapstick, chocolate, a Star Wars shirt. Done and done.

My DH is hard too. If he wants something, he usually gets it. Or his BFF will get it for him right before Christmas and ruin my idea! Plus, my mom relies on me for ideas for him too.
I ended up getting a giant Jenga game because we've played it a few times we went out this year to outdoor bars and I figured he'd enjoy it when we have people over. Plus, he hates playing games that require spelling or trivia against me because those are my strong skills. We have more equal footing at Jenga 
And he's been saying for more than a year that we need to get a Nest thermostat but hasn't gone out and gotten one, so I ordered one to be his "big" gift. The gift isn't so much the object as the fact that I went ahead and ordered it for him.
I make him a shutterfly ornament each year. It started when I made a cube of our wedding pictures and put it in his stocking that year because he didn't have any ornaments of his own. And it's fun to look back at each year.

Got him an instapot from Thanksgiving and already using it! And going to replace his french press beaker that I broke... Nothing fancy as money is tight and we're due with #2 soon.

I do fill DH's (and LO's) stocking and got him a lego figurine of a character he likes, chapstick and a gift card to a local restaurant.

I got tickets for him and his best friend to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers this winter. I'm so excited to surprise him with a boys' night!

His best friend's wife and I are arranging for them to go on a golf trip to a resort they are both dying to play at. Hes sooo hard to shop for but I know he will love this.
Other than that I got him a mission belt (saw it on shark tank), an Eddie Bauer throw, and some accessories for the GoPro that his parents are getting him.

We don't usually get each other gifts (we don't exchange gifts for any other occasion either - valentines, birthdays, anniversary, etc). If we want something we discuss and treat ourselves as things come up. But I do fill his stocking and sometimes get a few small things here and there if I see something he would like. So far I've gotten a few things with his football team's logo (coffee tumbler, license plate holder, long sleeve T)

well this won't help because we decided to buy a new tv. and yes, DH researched and picked it out because i would have bought something much less expensive!
but i also got him an instantpot (well, for both of us) and will get little things for his stocking: silicone ring is purchased.
