My water broke with DS at 38+6 and he was born at 39 weeks.
We're doing major renos to our house and won't be able to move back in until I'm 37-38 weeks. I'm getting so stressed about this!! What if LO#2 comes any sooner?!

My daughter was born at 38+6, but my son wasn't born until 40+1. I was going crazy for that last week since I had been expecting the same time frame for my son.
Good luck!

N was born at 37 weeks on the dot. E was born at 35 weeks 4 days. I thought I had more pregnant time. I was wrong.

First 40+5 via induction. 2nd just showed up at 39+6. I've seen it go both ways. Good luck!

Yikes!! You guys aren't giving me much confidence! As expected, babies come when they want... could be early, could be late....

My bff went 38w0d with #1 and 41w6d with #2. Poor thing was pregnant for a month longer than she expected to be.
My first was 40w0d, my second was a scheduled c section at 39w4d. I wasn't dilated at all so she could have stayed in much longer.

Renovations are as unpredictable as babies We were trying to time our master bath renovation so that we had a few weeks to settle in/clean-up before our first born arrived. Surprise! Water broke in the middle of the night at 37w5d, renovation still a week out from being finished let alone having a house clean enough to bring a newborn into. The only saving grace - my family was here to help. And I stayed with my parents in an apartment they had rented out while my husband worked hard with his parents in our house to get it all set-up once the renovation was finished. SO stressful! Just sharing to let you know that nothing will go as planned. Renovations can always take longer. And that baby is coming no matter what. So have a back-up plan in place to ease the stress.

LO1 - born on her due date
LO2 - born 8 hours past her due date
So essentially yes, they were born at the same gestational age. Both labours started spontaneously.

@QBbride: You might want to start thinking about a back up plan in case the renos takes longer or LO comes early.
LO1 - 40w 2d
LO2 - 37w 6d
I've also done a reno and it was not done on time.

@Bluebonnet: we will be staying in my mum's condo, so although not ideal (probably 30 mins from the hospital I'm delivering at vs 1 min in our current house), we will make it work.

Okay I can answer now. LO #1 was induced at 49 +5 but may have been a bit off on dates. LO #2 arrived spontaneously on 39+6 and was a way quicker and easier birth experience
