LO and I got the shot, and we didn't get the flu. DH didn't get the shot, and he DID! So for us, YES, absolutely!

We all got the shot (except the baby who was too young). No one got it, but DH thought he had it at one point- just an over dramatic man cold. I don't know many people who got it this year though so we probably weren't around the germs much

Yep, I think so! First year getting it, because of our new babe. Although I'm not sure I've ever had the flu anyway...

We all got the vaccine. None of us got the flu (and I work in a hospital and boy, it was going around. Most of my unvaccinated coworkers got the flu.)

All 4 of us got the shot. LO1 ended up with the flu in March but the rest of us were fine.

We all get the flu shot every year and we've never had the flu. My father in law got the shot and the flu in 2014 but I think that was a bad year. Thankfully my son was old enough to get the shot prior to his grandfather getting sick.
The one year I didn't get the shot, I got mono. There's no connection as far as I know but that's the only time in many years that I was seriously sick beyond a sinus infection.

We all got the flu shot this year and we all got the flu except for DH. My parents also both got the flu shot and also both got the flu from us. Bad year for us!

We all got the shot and no one got the flu. Last year LO and I got the flu shot and my husband did not.....he was the only one to get the flu!

Yes, we get it every year. None of us got the flu this year, although it didn't work last year (we all got horrible flu).
Off-topic but even though I will continue to get the flu shot each year, I have miscarried twice now within days of receiving a flu shot (including this past year) and a small part of me will always wonder if it was the cause.

None of us got the shot and none of us got the flu. I honestly didn't hear of a lot of people with the real flu this year though. It seemed like the year of the overzealous norovirus - everyone we know got it! We did, too.

DS and I got shots, DH didn't. None of us got the flu.
LAST year DH and I both got the shot (DS was too young) and we both got the flu...DS didn't!

I got it and haven't had so much of a cold during my pregnancy (32 weeks now...and knocking on wood really hard after writing that ). DH didn't get it, and while I don't think he's had the flu, he's had several miserable colds/coughs. So who knows? We'll both be getting it this year with the baby at home, though!

Well, we all got the flu shot and no one got the flu. But before I had kids, I never got a flu shot and also never got the flu, so...

@Foodnerd81: man sickness...yes, DH had that too. Hilar!
@Mamaof2: that's great to hear
@catlady: :*{ Sorry. I took advil/tylenol the day of or before I miscarried because of a massive headache and always thought, What if I never took it? so I can relate to that deeply.
@Adira: Good immune system!

No flu here. Babies did get RSV but there is no vaccine for that at the moment.

We didn't get it and my sitter and her husband and daughter all had it twice (and all had flu shots.) I think DD has a great immune system because any time her sitter or her daughter was sick she never got it!
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@Adira: Were you around kids during that time? Because I wasn't and I never got sick!
pomegranate / 3127 posts
Sort of. Only DS had the shot. DD was too young for it when she got the flu, poor baby. DS was starting to look sick too so we gave them both Tamiflu. Maybe it was the flu shot, maybe the Tamiflu, but DS was fine after that. DH got the flu the next week, and I got a sore throat but nothing worse.
@catlady: I'm sorry I can relate to the second guessing, but everyone says you never know why these things happen and most likely, it was nothing you could control.
