Yes, my elementary, middle and high schools were all on the same street right next to each other! It was a 15 minute walk and I walked starting in Kindergarten (accompanied by the older neighbor kids or sometimes my mom/dad). I only got rides on days where I had a project and a lot of stuff to bring or the weather was nasty (rain only, I always walked when it snowed).

Yup, elementary, middle school and high school were always close enough that I didn't have to take a school bus. Boy was I jealous of kids who took the bus.

Never. School was always 20-30 miles away
(until college when I lived on campus)

Yup! I lived a 5 minute and then 15 minute walk from elementary school. High school was about a 10-15 minute walk. College was the only time I had to take car/public transit.

My parents' house is in the middle of nowhere, there's absolutely nothing except a couple other houses and farms within walking distance! School was about a 20-minute drive (or 45-50 minutes on the school bus).

No, in fact I lived in a different state when I went to private school for a few years.

I was a 10 minute walk from my first elementary school, I often got a ride because we were often running late (scarred for life by this, now I'm always early)
I took the bus from 6-8th grade, then took public transit and finally drove to high school. Those schools were less than 10 miles away but the trip took 30min to an hour due to city traffic.

Walked to elementary (when old enough), junior high & high school (until I got my license).

We were just under a mile away from our elementary school so we walked a lot when the weather was nice, or it was a five minute drive if we got a ride.
High school was about 4 miles away - we got a ride the mile or so to the bus stop and then took the CTA (public transit bus) from there, pretty much straight to my school's doorstep. From sophomore year on, we had our own car and drove to school.

My pre school and primary school were both a good 30 minute walk away, which was tough as a 4 year old as my mum wasn't driving at the time so we had to walk it every day.
My high school was a half hour train ride away, but luckily the station was right next to the school.

Walked to elementary school, carpooled to middle school (10 min drive) and took the bus to high school (15 min bus ride). Currently we live within walking distance of an elementary school so if we are still here when LO starts it will be awesome! I see the pickup/ drop off line of cars sometimes and oy, it looks bad!

Well...technically yes because I lived in NYC and took the train everywhere!

Never. Not even college except when I was on campus.
