Tonight's powerball drawing is up to $500 million. I don't usually play the lottery. And I heard this morning you have a better chance of dying from being hit by an asteroid. But for $500 million, I asked my husband to pick one up on the way home for fun.

I plan to as well. I know the odds are infinitesimally small but it is a very minimal investment so it's fun to be able to dream and imagine.

Yes, a bunch of my coworkers went in on tickets and I convinced my husband to buy a few on the way home. I'm imagining all of the shopping I will do when I win. Ha!

Nope! I've never bought a lottery ticket and I'm not really sure how? Lol! Do they pick numbers for you? I've never even watched a drawing. I kind of wish I did though!

@yellowbird: You can either pick your own numbers or just do Quick Pick, where they randomly select numbers for you. I always buy my tickets at the gas station.

No, we never get into this kind of stuff so we didn't! But last night we did talk about what we'd do if we had a huge windfall- nothing crazy just have more kids and buy a house in a more private area. My husband would want a jet so he'd never have to go to the airport again.
