After you knew you wanted a baby, did you purchase anything before you got BFP?
I bought football baby legs for LO. DH thought I was crazy. But I was lucky, we ended up having a baby boy and I put those baby legs on him every sunday.

We did buy a few things but I can't remember what they were now...maybe books?

Aw! Love those! I bought girl stuff! We had a beautiful boy.
We will TTC #2 in 3-4m so I already bought #2 some things I regret not getting for #1. Gear basically....baby k'tan since I hated my Moby....different swing....just things I wish I would have researched more with our first.

We weren't trying (we were kind of NTNT) so no, we didn't buy anything, but those baby legs are adorable!

@TurtleDoves: Have you tried the baby k'tan on or even with LO? We had a Moby with LO but I only tried it a few times and each time I just got frustrated with it (even with DH helping) so is that a good alternative?

No. My first pregnancy I did buy some things pretty quickly after I got my BFP.... but I ended up miscarrying. I didn't buy anything until after I hit 12 weeks with LO.

@TurtleDoves: We will be TTC #2 in 3 - 4 months too.
@BelugaBean: We had a moby and it did not work for me. There was too much extra fabric and I have a petite frame.

no! I was too nervous about jinxing it.
Love the boppy cover...I have the same one!

I just bought one onesie that I wanted to give DH when we got a BFP. I knew I wouldn't have a chance to buy it again for a while (it's one of those stupid things that they purposely don't make enough of so the demand is always high when they go on sale). But that was it-- I didn't want any other reminders around if it took a long time to get pregnant, plus we didn't have the space to store anything.

I bought a gender neutral onesie and the book "I love you through and through." This is part of my plan to tell hubby once we get a BFP. I had to hide them away in the guest bedroom so he doesn't see and so they don't end up serving as a reminder of no + yet. I am hopeful and excited...I just hope they don't have to sit in there long!

I have. We aren't ttc yet - but I have some books and a few stuffed animals. I have two baby blanket that I wove in a college art class. We also have several toys, but keep those on hand for friend's kids and nieces/nephews.

No, nothing until the day I got by first BFP. I'm glad it was only one thing, because I miscarried quickly and ended up hiding it so I don't have the constant reminder. Next time I won't buy anything until I'm comfortable that its a healthy pregnancy.

We're not quite TTC yet, but I have a bunch of newborn clothes - onesies and gowns mainly - stashed at my parent's house. My mom bought them at a huuuuuge "Pass it On" consignment sale recently, when she was buying stuff for my nephew, too. Most of the stuff is new with tags and they were awesome deals, so she loaded up for the future grandchildren! I also have a few old, early edition versions of some of my favorite children's books, which I picked up at various yard/garage/library sales. I'm starting a collection of those.

I was traveling to India for work in the weeks leading up to my BFP...the first trip I decided not to get anything. The second trip (the day after which I got my BFP) I decided to buy a little girls ourfit from the market - and what doya know - I just found out we are having a little girl. Everything else I had was accidental (i.e. gifts for other people that never found their way to the person). The outfit in India was the first thing I bought for my child - best $4 spent!

I'm still praying for that BFP, and I'm not buying anything yet. I have to fight this some times though. Today I saw a Bugaboo on Craigslist for $175/OBO and thought, "I have to buy that!" I remind myself that there will be other deals out there when it is hopefully our time. I don't think I'll jinx it, but I don't want to be getting stuff if we're set to TTC for much longer.
Those football baby legs are adorable!

Nothing! I was really worried about having a reminder around if something should happen, and we miscarried twice. So I'm pretty glad I waited! Even with DS, we didn't start thinking everything was real until after 20 weeks.

My secret baby stash keeps getting bigger. I buy things about every 3 months. Stupid IF. I really want use that stuff soon.
My baby stash is at work so I only get reminded of it when I need to look for a file.

Pre-BFP the only thing I bought was a onesie to give DH when I got the BFP. But that probably doesn't count lol

We aren't TTC yet, but somethings tempt me! I don't think I would, DH would totally think I'd lost my mind!
