I really didn't. We might only have one baby so I just went for pink stuff: car seat lining, Bumbo, a salmon colored stroller, a custom pink and white striped glider etc. So if we do have another, having a girl would save us big bucks!

Yup, on purpose so that we can reuse for #2 if it's a boy.

@Andrea: I think so! It's a dark purple with some light thrown in. Eh. It's probably more fem than it is masculine.

@chopsuey119: heh. I asked DH if we could put a boy in our salmon stroller and he was so horrified.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@Andrea: HAAH I would totally use the salmon!! Just make sure he's wearing lots of blue!

When I was pregnant I saw a little boy in a hot pink stroller. He had an older sister. Thank goodness I saw that or I would have bought LO all pink things! We can't afford to buy everything twice. So all the big stuff is gender neutral.

All of our gear is gender neutral (car seat, stroller, bundleme, pack n play, bumbo, high chair, glider, towels....) but all of our clothing and bedding is baby boy. No biggie though, my sister has 2 girls so if we ever have a girl we will be in pink heaven!

We were Team Green, but would have gone neutral anyway on big ticket items so that we don't have to repurchase anything since there is never a guarantee that we'd get the same gender twice.

We did. The stroller, crib bedding and car seat are all neutral. But we're having another girl!

@chopsuey119: haha. I think DH would make me get a new one!

We bought everything gender neutral. Well, actually most of it is red and so a lot of people would assume Wagon Jr. was a girl. Haha. But I think red is pretty gender neutral and it's Wagon Sr.'s favorite color.

I bought everything neutral, I personally don't like pink or pastels (I look terrible in them!!).

We are buying/registering for all big items to be neutral so they can be used again. I have a friend who went pink crazy with her little girl thinking they were only going to have one. Now her little boy has all pink swings, chairs, ect. She hates it but her husband refused to let her buy stuff they already had in different colors!

We bought gender neutral because we knew we wanted a second child. Works out perfectly seeing I'm having a girl this time aorund.

All things reusable are in gender neutral colors (stroller, crib sheets, nursery colors, podster, infant bouncer, we're planning to get a carseat that's neutral too). But after the gender reveal, I've bought a lot of girly clothes!

@mrs. wagon: We're not finding out the sex and I'm planning on buying lots of red stuff (car seat, stroller, etc). I think red is totally gender neutral!

Like @winniebee, our gear is gender neutral but stuff like crib bedding and clothing is not so gender neutral.

We are team green, so everything is gender neutral at this point (except I bought a handful of gender specific boy/girl onsies and sleepers).

Like most of the previous posters, our big items are gender neutral but clothes are gender specific.

Trying for all gender neutral gear (including crib bedding). Though it really doesn't matter. One of my "nephews", his mom's first, had girly swing/bouncers/etc - because those were the hand-me-downs he got. All of the gear used in public was gender neutral, though. Have gender neutral basics in clothing, but for most clothes, I just prefer the gender-specific stuff.

We were Team Green both times, so everything I bought during pregnancy (all the big stuff, newborn clothing, crib bedding, etc...) is gender neutral. The only gender-specific things we own are clothes, I think.

Our gear is all neutral! Mostly grays and greens.

We're Team Green, so we registered for all gender-neutral gear. I'm sure once the baby comes, we'll get gender-specific clothing, but all of our "big items" will be neutral.

When we had our first lo we weren't thinking about future children at all so we got a pink stroller/ carseat and everything but we have lots if other gender neutral things and thank goodness we are having another girl.

I had to buy 2 of most things so everything is fairly gender neutral... Black and grey cars eat, red and black stroller, dark brown cribs.. Etc.

We didn't - blue all the way!!!
But I'm not sure we would've had it been the other way around. I think a baby girl could pull off a bright blue stroller better than a baby boy in a pink stroller...
(Although I LOVE the bright pink Bugaboo Chameleon fabric!)

@ainsworthe: We did the same! We got some gender neutral things but if I liked it in blue, I got it in blue. I figured a girl would look ok in blue things anyway. We have the bugaboo bee with bright blue canopy. But I'm planning on buying the bright pink canopy. hehehe.
