I think W2 are suppose to come out by the end of this month.
If you are doing it yourself, did you buy the tax software, yet?
I haven't. I thought I had to find an accountant to do our since we have medical deductions, but it sounds like I can just use the box again.

@bluestriped bee: I bought Turbo Tax on Amazon. It was on sale for $15 off (this week) and with Prime I got another $10 off
I'm a CPA and if you have medical deductions, it should be pretty straight forward to you in Turbo Tax!

We are in Canada, and I understand that our tax structure here is a lot easier than yours, at least on average. Which doesn't relate to your thread at all, except to say that my husband's company makes a tax software product, so that's what we will use!

I use Turbo Tax online. We had a ton of medical deductions LY but the software told me to just use the standard deduction.

I use turbotax online. Fidelity usually offers its clients 20% off so I always check their website first. What I like about the online version is it starts you off with the basic package and bumps you up according to what deductions you have--so you don't buy the deluxe version if it's not necessary.

Another vote for Turbo Tax online. Since January 1 they have been sending me reminder emails to do my taxes! What's nice about TT is that it saves your info from year to year, so it makes inputting things much faster because it remembers things you deducted in previous years and asks you if you have the same deductions for the current year.

We got H&R Block software this year because of some changes with TurboTax.

Another vote for TurboTax online. It's free and user friendly. One year I didn't believe my refund so I went to H&R Block, paid about $100 and my refund amount was still the same.

I loved TT online when I did my own taxes (they were a lot less complicated before I was married and lived overseas). THANKFULLY someone is doing my taxes for me this year, they are going to be really complicated with income from various countries because we've moved internationally.

I just get the forms from the library, do it longhand, and then input my info into the free state/federal websites.
