E was 6 months old today so we went out for lunch to celebrate! She had a nibble on a french fry (and a bowl of pea and broccoli puree!) and the waiter gave her a balloon. I was a very proud mummy today!

We went to lunch and got Krispy Kreme donuts (: when we got home, MIL had balloons and cute decorations all set up (: It was just us and it was fun/perfect. I hope we always remember to celebrate her half birthday.

We put a birthday hat on him, gave him his first puffs and called it a day.

We usually get him a new toy and a treat around 4th of July since his birthday is 2 weeks after Christmas and everything is so crazy.

We took her picture but that was all! My aunt was disappointed we didn't make her a half bday cake. Um no!

@Cherrybee: love the pic! We moved into our new house on LO's half birthday. That evening after the moving was complete, we ordered pizzas and had our family over. It was so nice to have our first "party" in our new home
LO dined on avocado and ate every bite!
