One of the perks of pregnancy was amazing nails! Now I'm worried I'm going to scratch our little girl when I try to get her to detach from a boob or just in general. I'm thinking of snipping my nails down to leave just a little white.
Did you cut your nails when your lo was born? Did you ever scratch him or her?

Yes, I kept my nails shorter. It is VERY important because .... you don't want to get poo stuck under them like I did!! LOL.

@Andrea: hi!! I'm feeling surprisingly well for very little sleep in two nights (one hour Sunday, 2 hours last night because of adrenaline). Recovery is going quite well. 
Oh, poop under nails. Didn't think about that one!

@mediagirl: I had the adrenaline for about two weeks afterwards I think. After that, I started to need real sleep! Glad everything is going well. She is gorgeous!

Lol I agree about the poop under the nails!! I was washing my hands so often, they started to get cracked and dry. (It was the middle of winter.) I kept my nails super short all the time, especially since we could use our fingers as pacifiers during diaper changes.
I did scratch him a few times with my ring!!

@mediagirl: Congrats again! I trimmed mine & filed them but kept them just past my finger tips & that worked out fine.

Ive always had long nails, so yes, I cut them when lo came. I didn't want to have to worry about scratching her.

Yes and they grew back super fast, now post pregnancy my nails are actually growing back faster and stronger than during the pregnancy. But yes even my husband suggested I cut them again since he is worried I will scratch the baby especially while giving her a bath
