I've heard both yes and no to this. Do you do cards for Christmas gifts or just birthdays?

Nope. I will do birthday. I figure Christmas since we gave and received a gift from the same person. I didn't get any other thank you cards.

Only one, to DH's BFF's Mom. She is always over generous so we are sure to thank her. I like to let her know that P enjoys playing with the gifts that she gave.

Only for certain people who expect it. I can't keep up with everyone!

Yes. Always. To me it doesn't matter if I gave a gift also, I think it's polite to say thank you and show appreciation for a gift.

No. I think of it as a gift exchange. I write thank yous for everything else, but not Christmas. I've never received one for Christmas either.
