We couldn't circumcise our son at the hospital because he was being treated for jaundice and they didn't want my OB doing it while our baby was under intensive lights.
So we have to get him circumcised with a pediatric urologist any time after he turns 3 months old.

DS was circumcised when he was 2 days old. We didn't have any post-birth complications to worry about, so we had it done before we left the hospital.

He was circumcised the day we left the hospital. My OB/GYN did it and I guess she forgot to do it earlier.... I was kind of irritated that I had to go home with freshly circumcised baby....

DS also had jaundice so we had to wait until just before we left the hospital. He was 4 days.

We didn't but had the opportunity to before we left the hospital when he was 2 days old. They came around to gather all the little boys up and do them all at once.

We chose not to circumcise him at all. We could have done it in the hospital following the birth.

LO was circumcised the day after he was born. It was quick and not too painful. He fell asleep afterwards. At first we freaked out with diaper changes because we were new parents and didn't want to hurt him and make sure it healed properly.

They waited until the day before they released us from the hospital because they kept having to do tests on him - my water had broken 34 hours prior to his birth, so there were multiple tests for possible infections; then they discovered he had a hole in his heart (a murmur, tiny one) so they had to do special scans and everything for that... When I saw him afterwards, he was fine. They said he was a real trooper but it looked ugly. I think I might have cried when I saw it!

We don't know what we are having just yet but if it is a boy then he will be curcumsized 8 days after he is born. Mr. Hedgie is Jewish so that was kinda decided for me. lol. I am okay with it though.
