I did a good amount during my senior year! I always answered the automated "your child was absent from one or more classes today" notification calls from the school.
Did you ever cut class?

Lol - no. Except, of course, for the official *Senior Skip Day.*

Yes! Especially during my senior year. I would skip certain classes and go hang out in my favorite teacher's classroom. We also had three separate lunch periods during 5th period and my friends and I would skip 5th period and go to all three lunches. It was hard to not get caught doing that. If I asked my mom for permission she would let me skip classes and leave school every so often. I was a straight A student and never got into trouble at school. She told me everyone deserved a break.

I cut first period all the time my 2nd semester of senior year. I had band that period and definitely abused the fact that our director never did roll call! He did mention something to my mom once, but she actually never really got upset.

I never skipped without permission so I guess it's not really skipping. I would have my mom call me in if I knew we were having a sub or doing something like watching an unnecessary movie or having study hall. Sometimes I would go to my secretary (large school so we had separate offices depending on where you fell in the alphabet) and tell her I didn't want to go to class for whatever reason, usually it was because I legitimately didn't feel good. She was awesome about excusing me and letting me go. The only reason I got away with doing either was because I was a straight A student who didn't cause any problems.
ETA: I did skip lunch without permission though. It was open lunch for seniors only but I started leaving my freshman year and never once got caught. The trick was to look like you belonged. Don't try to hide your drink cup or turn the other direction when a teacher or principal came your way. There were several times when I would stop and have conversations with the security guard and even share my fries and he just assumed I was a senior because I didn't act/look guilty or hide from him.

Yeah, and I was such a teacher's pet that I would openly admit to my teachers that I just didn't fee like being in class and they let me go home without a phone call home!

@mslipgloss: Same here! Except, I didn't even skip the whole day....and for the classes I did skip, I let the teachers know ahead of time that I wasn't going to be here for Senior Cut Day. Even my mom makes fun of me for being such a goody-goody.

Sometimes I would go in late and miss my first class. But mom always knew and gave the ok.

I did a fair amount during my senior year. I would come back by 3rd period so it would still count as a full day. I would go to my dad and ask him to sign a blank index card. I told him that I'll fill it out since I was running late for school.
lol So I always had excused lates.
Saddest thing was in my yearbook last year, a friend wrote about how I never showed up to my Math Analysis class. :X I don't know what I was thinking when I scheduled a Calc class during my senior year and during the first period.

I did a few times. And I "skipped" lunch almost everyday (we weren't allowed to leave for lunch)
