I used to make them when I was younger all the time!!! They were so much fun. I was a pro at it, too. I was even able to add songs without any blips in between (by pushing down the "pause" button instead of stop). I loved writing down the names of the songs on the paper cover of the cassette tape cover.

Oh, yes! I remember the beginning and end of some songs would be cut off because I would record from the radio.
Mix CDs were all the rage throughout my ~*oh-so-serious*~ relationships in high school.

@deerylou: Me too! If a boy really liked me, he made me a mixed tape. If he didn't make me one, it meant he didn't really like me that much.
If only it were that simple now. hahaha

Yes! The worst was when you waited for a song and the DJ would continue to talk while the song's intro was already playing in the background! Fail.

I made a lot of mixed tapes back in the day and definitely taped songs off the radio. I remember waiting for the "top 8 at 8"or something like that to wait for a certain song. The things our children will never understand...

I remember making a mixed tape to put in my Walkman and listen to on a road trip with my family. I sat by the radio all day trying to record the songs that I wanted.
