My childhood home had wild raspberry bushes next to it, so we would pick huge buckets of red and black raspberries and then gorge on them at home!! Ah, childhood... it was the best.
Did you ever pick wild berries or fruit as a kid?

Berries for sure! I grew up in England and they were everywhere. We moved from there to Texas and that was something I missed!

Not that I remember, but MIL was telling me the other day that starting when DH was around 2 he would wake up, go outside and across the lawn, in his pajamas, to the blueberry bushes and shove as many as he could into his mouth before she came out to call him in for breakfast. He'd then gorge on blueberry pancakes, lol. He still devours them!

NO! I never saw any? But my (Arab) mom (they are paranoid) made me deathly afraid of them at a young age. She def thinks ALL berries picked from the ground will KILL me.

Yup we had strawberries in our backyard and our neighbor had a giant cherry tree that came across the fence so we picked cherries too.

Same, we had a blackberry bush! It pains me every time I buy a box at the store and they are so sour! I'm looking for a local place to pick them actually.

Yep! Blackberries at my grandpas. We also had wild honeysuckle in our backyard I remember spending hours down there with my friends! I just noticed yesterday our new backyard has honeysuckle. Yay!

Not sure how "wild" they were since they were in our yard but yep, picked blackberries, raspberries, strawberries

Every summer I would visit my grandmother, who had raspberry bushes in her garden. We would go on walks to collect wild blackberries as well, then we would make pies. Soooo yummy!!

One year I had a strawberry plant and got about two strawberries from it! When you're that young, even two tiny berries are impressive when you pick them on your own.

Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. We also picked Checkerberries (taste like wintergreen).

The only thing "wild" we had growing was blackberries. But this is Florida, and everyone has fruit trees and bushes in their yard, so it was pretty common to be picking fruit if some kind that wasn't wild.

Nope. We just planted a blueberry and blackberry bush though so LO will get to

Blackberries at home and huckleberries when visiting grandparents. We also had raspberries at home but they weren't wild. On walks we would pick thimble berries, but not enough to do anything with except eat them right away.

We had a raspberry bush in our backyard. I'm not a big fan of them but my little sister loves raspberries. She would stand there and eat as many as she could until my mom dragged away.

I grew up in Michigan and have fond memories of picking wild strawberries. They were smaller and a little more tart than the ones in the grocery store. Yum. We also picked a lot of raspberries and regular strawberries. My grandpa had a huge garden and there are a ton of "pick your own" strawberry fields. I miss them now.

Nope, but I've always wanted to. We've picked out pumpkins from a pumpkin farm though. Does that count?

Yes, there were a bunch of wild red and blackberries and mulberries around us. I freaked my mom out one time when I went down to the woods and found a raspberry bush and my friend and I came back covered, she made us take her to the bush to identify it and make sure we hadn't poisoned ourselves.
We have a secret place that we go to in the woods to pick wild high bush blueberries, they are amazingly delicious. A couple years ago there was a bumper crop and between DH and I we picked 30 lbs.
It irritates me every year in the grocery store I see mulberries being sold at a crazy price and being called blackberries. If the top of the berry doesn't have an empty hole but has a stem filler then it's a mulberry and won't be nearly as tasty as a blackberry.
