I studied abroad in Paris my junior year of college. It was the best. Really improved my language skills, and I met wonderful people there who I'm still friends with now. It also made me want to move back abroad after college, and to try something new I went to London, where I met DH!

I did! I spent a year in Ecuador when I was 16, and it was HUGELY formative for me. I don't regret it for a second. My husband also spent a year of high school in another country (Switzerland) and felt that it had a huge impact on him. I also did my MA in England. I am ever hopeful that we will be able to provide our children with an equally amazing international experience!

My sister studied in Tokyo. It was fun for both of us though I missed her terribly. We also had 5 different Japanese exchange students, so I got to learn a lot of language and Japanese culture!

I really wish I had but I fell in love with a Brit and I've been in London for 2 years now, so I did get some experience abroad.
Seeing how many different nationalities are represented here in London and how it's just the norm for them to go live somewhere else for a few years, I would definitely encourage my kids to study or live abroad. Luckily my kids will have US and UK passports!
