My brother and I were very close growing up, but throughout junior high and high school we fought a lot! It makes me wonder what i have to look forward to with Charlie and Olive when they're that age because we fought so much despite being so close. Maybe we fought a lot because we were close haha!

Omg yes. My sister and I are four years apart and it's only been the last 3ish years that we've been able to tolerate each other. She had a LOT of growing up to do though, and was quite coddled by my parents.

Yes, lots of fighting. My sisters are 9-13 years older than me and never understood me growing up. We always fought, and I was so happy when they started moving out of the house after college. We all get along now, but it required all of us starting a family at the same time to bring us together.

Oh yes. My sister is 7 years younger, so when she wanted to be a mini me, I was an obnoxious teenager. And I made fun of her a lot. It was mostly my fault! We got a lot closer once she was in middle/high school and I went to college.

My sister is 7 years older and she totally resented me. Partially because she was the only child and only grandchild for so long. She would beat the crap out of me (literally). We became close in my late teens when she was having kids. There are still times we fight, but I think for the most part she's realized she's my sister, not my mother.

Nope. My brother was and still is my very best friend (along with DH now too). We were always super close, and even roomed together in college, and he walked me down the aisle with my dad. Being a military family meant we were each other's constants during all the moves around the world.

My sister all the time! Only 16 months apart and one grade apart lead to a lot of fights! We still but heads quite a bit - we are very different!

Not a whole lot, no. I was sort of the odd one out growing up, though. I'm the oldest of 4 (two sisters and a brother), and they all seemed to be closer than I was, so maybe that was it. We are all very close now!

I only have one brother and he was pretty hostile when we were growing up. He has mellowed out quite a bit, but we hardly talk or see each other now. We live about 6 hours apart.

I fought with my brother a lot when we were little. There's 4.75 years between us. We got to be really close once he was in high school and for awhile, we had a similar circle of friends.
I rarely argued with my sister. She's 7 years younger. We started fighting just a few years ago!

Yes! All the time! My brother is 4 years younger than me. I was (okay, I still am) bossy & like thins a certain way & gate being smothered. My brother just wanted to do everything I did & hang out with me & I found it annoying. Poor guy. I was really mean. We didn't start to get along until I moved out of my parents house. Sometimes I still have to force myself to be kind to him. Something about us just doesn't jive or something but he is a huge softy with a big heart & I do love him despite not seeming to like him so I keep it to myself. He's a great uncle.

My oldest sis and I never fought. She's 5.5 years older than me.
My middle sister and I (2 yrs 10 months older) and I fought A LOT. Lots of beating up on each other. -.- Pain in the ass.

Well I had five siblings so there were different dynamics with each. My oldest sister pretty much avoided me, but we did fight if we were together. My older brother oicksd on me a lot but once I was a teen we got really close and never fought. My younger brother and I were the closest though- we had some light arguing but it wasn't actually fighting. We were and still are the closest of all the sibs (he's three years younger). But my littlest brother and I fought a lot- 8 year age difference! And lastly my littlest sister and I get along really well- but sometimes I feel more like an aunt to her because of the 15 year age difference.

Yup, we fought a lot!
It wasn't until we matured and got older when things got better. I mean, there were moments when we were young that it was great but our personalities conflicted. I have 3 siblings but 2 of them are within 1 year of me and we constantly would tag team and bully or fight with the other. My older sibling who is 8 years older, she was like our second mother and she moved out of the house when she graduated HS. So she want in our life that we could fight with her. Yeah, we all might have had some arguments with her when we were older but it was because we were young, dumb, selfish and naive.

Me and my sister are a year and a half apart, and we had horrible fights until I moved out of the house. We got along a lot of the time, but when we fought we would hurt each other. Now we're really good friends even though we don't see each other that often.

My sister and I fought a lot. (Her: Fists of fury. Me: "Give me 15 reasons why I should let you into the bathroom.") But we're really close now. I respect my little sister a ton and generally tell her all the stuff that I would never tell my mother.

With my sister who is 13-months younger definitely yes....we were best buddies until middle school and then we were night and day from each other. I never fought with my sister who is 7 years younger.

All the time, my brother is 4 years younger. Same with my husband and his sister. We are all closer now that we are grown up, but we have a lot of differences in personalities.
