I was surprised to get two onesies from my OB. It said "Special delivery by Dr. [her name]."
Totally caught me off guard. It was so nice of her to give that to her patients.

Wow! No, we got a gift from the clinic where I gave birth though. But even that caught me off guard, just a few cute things for baby to wear.

That's a fantastic idea!
No, we didn't. But you see so many different people here you never build up much of a relationship.

That's really clever. About a week after delivery I received a congratulatory card in the mail signed by my midwife and the nurses who were on shift when I gave birth. I thought that was nice.

Just a bunch of formula samples that, at the time, we didn't give any thought to because we planned on BF and I had no intention of it NOT working out. We sure were glad we saved them when we realized BF (sadly) wasn't going to work for us. The samples came with a nice insulated cooler bag,
ice pack and an inflatable travel Boppy pillow.

The hospital gave us a little lovey, it was cute. The formula samples were more useful when my milk never came in!

My doctor personally came and visited me in the NICU after the first to check on me (she's a friend of a friend) and gave me a little momma car package which was totally unnecessary but her daughter (with the same nickname) was in the NICU for the same reason and she felt for me!
