DH and I got our flu shots today. LO is too young. My arm hurts more than last year!

I got mine at work a couple of weeks ago. DD will get hers in a couple weeks when she has her 18-month check-up.

I got mine August 31st. It seemed so ridiculously early but I was at the pharmacy picking up prescriptions and had a few extra minutes so I figured I'd just get it.
I've found that the more I move my arm right after getting the shot the less it hurts later. It still hurts a bit but not as bad.

I never get one...I don't really have a reason why!

@matador84: I never did until last year because I was pregnant...which is funny because I'm around plenty of germs all day at school. Now I feel like I have to because DD can't get one.

All four of us got ours already.
Why are some LOs too young for them? My 13 month old got his flu shot this year {two shots spaced out by a month} and he got one last year too {I think at one month}.

Yep, I got one a few weeks ago at my 32 week OB appointment.

@shinymama: a baby must be six months old to get a flu shot. My LO will turn six months old on Christmas. Since babies get two flu shots spaced out my LO will not be old enough to be protected for flu season this year.

DH and I are getting ours next week. LO is only 2 months old so she's too young this year.

@swedishfish: i've been pregnant the past two years during flu season and i haven't even gotten the flu. not that my reasoning is research based, ha! i did get sick a lot after i had the baby and at one point thought i had the flu and was WISHING i'd gotten the flu shot. so, i am kind of torn!

@swedishfish: I must be misinterpreting something, but I'm pretty certain he got it last year too. His immunization record has a notation on the influenza box from last year!

No, but I've never gotten a flu shot... even when I worked at the hospital.

Yup. Hubs and I both went two weeks ago. LO got her second shot this past Thursday.

I got mine the second week in September, DH gets his next week. LO is too little.

Not that it's helping me right now, but I got it in September. I think I have paraflu today... Fever, croupy cough, sore throat, aches

Currently 40 weeks pregnant, and got it at my 38 week appt.

I haven't yet. I think we're all going to go next weekend and get it. My hospital has a drive-thru flu clinic and you don't even have to leave your car.

I got mine on Thursday, and my LO is getting his next week. My SO usually doesn't get one because he *never* gets sick.

I got mine last Monday at my 14 week appointment, and my arm was sore for a few days. But it's better now. DH will get his in a week or so.

I hadn't planned on getting it, but my husband put his foot down and said that I had to get it to protect our daughter. So I got it last Tuesday.

Yes, LO and I got them at the beginning of the month, and DH got one at work a week before that.

I've never had a flu shot in my life and I've only had the flu once in 2009 and I recovered in 2 days. So I don't plan on getting one. I'm rarely sick.

Yep. Got it at my doc's suggestion at my 8 week appointment in Sept.

I got mine at my 16 week appt on Friday. I am coming off a regular oil' cold and it was miserable so I wanted to do everything possible to avoid the real flu!

I got mine at my 6 week PP check up. I felt like I had the flu 24 hours afterwards.

I got mine Friday! My arm definitely hurt more this year than last year, and I've been a bit achy all over since...but I'm feeling better today!

I'm going to go at lunch and get one from DH's building! E got hers last week.

Nope! I refuse to get one while pregnant and the only reason I ever got one before was because it's practically required as a nurse - I'm hoping to get by without them noticing!!
