I'm cheap so I can't decide if I should get her something new to wear. 
plus I'll have to get a layered outfit since Its mid-september and it could be really nice or pretty cold.

I would have if she didn't have anything, but my mil had already bought her a cute dress that was perfect for her. It was fancy and I didn't have anywhere for her to where it, so I figured it would be a great birthday dress.
I'm also cheap..... bit you can find cute, inexpensive things at target or old navy if you want something.

Unfortunately nothing special. I intended to buy him a nice outfit but never found one in time. I find it more difficult to shop for a boy too. He wore a Ralph Lauren polo with khaki pants, both gifted to him at Christmas.

Both girls wore Janie and Jack dresses for their 1st birthdays. Not the same dress... I bought new for each DD. It was just a coincidence, but I do tend I look there for special occasions.
this was DD 2's I got a few weeks ago... Now on sale!

Do it! I'm totally planning on putting baby boy in a full blown suit and jacket on his bday:)
