I had trouble with emptying the daycare wet bag during my 2nd trimester...the smelly smashed poops made me gag and vomit frequently. I discovered diaper liners and things improved a lot!

We had to switch to disposables (plumbing issues) right when our son started eating solids. Now we have him back in cloth, but we don't have a diaper sprayer yet and the shmushy poopy diapers are the worst! My husband thinks we can just wipe them off with some toilet paper and be done. I think that's gross - it's all gross! - so I need to come up with a plan.

We did until we found the right diaper for our LO (BG Freetimes). And diaper liners are a GAME CHANGER!

@mewtill: Oh man, you have GOT to use the liners. We use the Grovia ones and I love them. We just wash the peed on ones and reuse several times, so they really do last a long time. I pay $10 for 200 and they last me about 2.5-3 months. Not bad!

There was a period where P was peeing through everything! I was having to change her every hour & even that wasn't enough sometimes! We started adding some fitteds to our stash & those worked much better! She also isn't nursing quite a much as she used to so it's gotten better... still plenty of wet dipes but not peeing a rivers worth of pee every hour! lol

@meredithNYC: we use them for daycare right now, but I hate the idea of "wasting" them on pee diapers. Maybe I'll offer that up to my husband as a choice: install the sprayer or start using liners?

@autumnlove: @meredithNYC: Do you flush the liners? I've heard various viewpoints on it (clogging the plumbing), so just curious. LO isn't here yet but I'm definitely planning on using liners when we get to solids. Flushing would obviously be preferred ;).

we just did recently with her changing to sleeping longer at night on her tummy! we went through about a week of her leaking through until we triple stuffed and focused on the front and haven't had an issue. we also have had to strip our diapers twice, but now that we know what the issue is, we can stay on top of that!

@StrawberryBee: I would say I flush about 25% of the time (my husband, on the other hand, always does). Other times I throw them into a plastic bag. I don't use plastic bags often, but I find sometimes they can't be avoided - like when our newspapers arrive in them. I find those are perfect for a poopy liner and I just throw them right into the outside trash

@StrawberryBee: My house has old plumbing so I don't flush, I put them in a lidded trash can after I discard the poops.
