My friend is expecting a girl in January and she is going to have 3 different showers....one thrown by her best friend, her mom and MIL. I am invited to the shower her friend is planning and the one her mom is hosting!
Did you go to multiple showers for the same person? I want to go to both so I can see both groups of friends...I guess I will just buy two different gifts!

If it was a really good friend, I would probably go to both and just split my gift budget into 2--that way you don't have to go empty-handed to either!

Yes for a good friend. One our group of friends threw. Then other was thrown by her MIL friends. So another friend and I went as moral support. She told us to not bring anything. But we did go ahead and buy a couple little things.

No, I haven't attended multiple showers, but I'd probably bring something small to the second shower if she was a really good friend

I haven't, but would if it was for a close friend. I know someone who just had their 5th or 6th baby shower!!

My best friend had three showers, just like your friend. She actually asked me herself to come to the one her MIL hosted because she felt uncomfortable being around all her in-laws since she didn't know them very well. I went, but did not bring a gift. I brought a gift to the one for friends-only (which happened first).

I haven't personally but I would if it was a good friend. I like baby showers/wedding showers etc. I think they're fun I agree that I would split the budget. I generally get more than one item anyhow - like an outfit and a gift from the registry.

I did for my SIL.... but she's family. I threw one of the showers and was a guest at the other. She was surprised that I brought a gift to both showers, but I didn't want to show up empty handed. For the second shower I brought a gift for her instead of the baby, it was a hospital survival kit.

i would for a good friend. i invited my best girlfriends to both my showers in case they wanted to come visit and hang out, but i don't expect them at both!
