I had plenty...and lost one or two to nice bouncers. My first was my freshman year of college. I wasn't 18 yet so I just needed one to get into the clubs!

Nope! My college was more of a frat scene than a bar scene since it was in a small town so I never really needed one.
ETA: I'm also a bit of a goody two shoes and being caught with a fake would have been my nightmare.

I did not! I didn't go out that much, and when I did, I never recalled not getting in anywhere (probably b/c all my friends were older)...

I did not. However, I did frequent some shady pubs that didn't check for ID soooo... .

Yes - but it was only to be 19 so I could get in to the bars in Canada...
Apparently at 18 you think its NBD to break the laws in other countries!!!

No. My roommate made a fake one (her license was laminated plastic so it was too easy to alter!). We used the pass back method a couple times, but I wasn't a huge drinker in college so I didn't really need one. And the local bar didn't stop you if you walked in without offering an ID.
My SIL let me use her student ID once when I was out with her and my brother. I like to scare her to death thinking of her own kids doing things like that for their siblings
But the laws weren't followed nearly as closely then as they are now so it was easier to get away with fakes and using other people's.

Nope! I was old for my "grade," I did lend mine to a couple friends though

Yep. And it was done old school, with a Polaroid camera in front of a sheet.
It did get taken away, when I got too bold and tried to use it at a legit bar near Fenway one night.
Eta: there was no Greek scene at my school.

Not exactly. There was one time when a friend brought along someone else's real ID that looked similar to me so we could enter a club. I didn't get to keep the ID for later use.

I'm in Canada so the legal drinking age is 19 or 18 some places.
I attended school in a boarder town so had no need.
Edited because baby hit enter

No, I didn't need one since my college social scene revolved around frats (if you were into that) and room parties/apartment parties. You could always get a senior to buy a handle of liquor for your party, or go to the frats for (nasty) beer.

I had an ID that wasn't mine, but it was my sister's real ID and we look alike. I also was so afraid of getting caught that I only used it a total of about 3 times to order a glass of wine at a restaurant!

I had an (old) real ID for an acquaintance who looked similar to me. I used it a few times without problem but tried to get into a bar in a city I didn't know and it turns out the bar prided itself on stopping fakes. It got taken up.
ETA: I was much more into the frat scene so I didn't need a fake much.

I did. From what I recall, I needed it more for buying from liquor stores than getting into the hole-in-the-wall bars we favored (in NYC).
My favorite was the liquor store attendant in western Maryland (I was visiting a friend) who looked at my fake and declared, "I'm from Florida, and I have never seen a Florida ID that looks like this, but it says 'genuine', so I guess it must be."

Nope. Never needed one. I wasn't interested in drinking before college, and in college alcohol was easy enough to get. My sister used my ID a couple of times, though.

Never needed one in college. I wish I had one the summer I lived in Georgia with DH, though, because I was only 20

No need. A friend of mine was dating a guy that owned a club. It was fun while it lasted.

Nope, but my sister let me use her ID a few times.
I do know someone who paid $500 to someone in China to make a fake ID and it looks real. She sent them her photo and told them what info to have on the ID.

Yes, I made them. I was a pro at photoshop. We took our learners permits and sanded them down and adhered the fakes on top. Worked amazingly well.

No I didn't really need one because the legal drinking age was 18. I did use my sister's a couple times but that's it.

I did but I only used it maybe once in my first year of university ...I was a chicken. After that I turned 19 and was legal here in good old Canada and didn't need it.

I've always been way to cautious to do anything like that! I think I maybe had a glass of wine at my sister's place before 21, but that's about it!

I'm from Montreal where the legal drinking age is 18. So I basically kept my older sister's expired driver license in my wallet from age 16-18. We would even go out to bars together but just enter 5 mins apart.

I had an ID of a 34 year old I found on the floor of a grocery store when I was 19.
I used it one time to buy a margarita at an Applebees. Woopwoop! I know, I went overboard.

Never! I knew I wanted to become a teacher so to me, the risk of getting caught was too high. One underage drinking charge can keep you from a job for a lifetime out here where there are SO many candidates.

@mrsjyw: haha I lent mine to my best friend so she could get a tattoo (I'm 8 months older and we had just graduated high school)

I had a terrible one that I used to get into R rated movies when I was 16. I was one of the youngest in my class and my boyfriend was a year older. I would have had no social life without that thing. It was way easier to get booze than it was to get into the movies.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Yup! I was the youngest in my internship class (20 vs 21+) so my cousin took me to a shady part of town and got me a fake ID. It also got me into a few clubs they went to that summer.
Just be warned, if you're on 6th street in Austin, TX - they can spot a fake a mile away!!

I had a really bad one when I was 17 to get me into bars and get a tattoo when I went to visit a friend in Australia. In college, I used my sister's old ID.
