Yes! I got to the hospital around 9:30pm and didn't have M until 1:51pm the following day. I labored at home until my contractions were 5-1-1, but I was terrified of missing the window to get an epidural!

I was induced at 6 am...didn't deliver until 11:15 pm...so yeah LOTs of downtime. I tried to sleep (yeah right) and watched a lot of TV. The morning went fast, the evening dragged since I stalled and was hoping to be pushing by that point & I was hungry and exhausted.

Yes, my induction started at 6pm on Tuesday and LO was born around 5am on Thursday.

No downtime at all! Laboured at home for 36 hours, headed to the hospital when I was at an 8, and though it took another 8 hours to get to baby, I was in awful active labour the whole time.

I had downtime with both. DD was induced, and once I got the epidural I just sorta napped and waited. DS was a c-section, but since my water broke unexpectedly, we had to wait for the OR to get ready, them to do the blood test stuff, and the doctor to get there.

Not too much downtime. I labored at home for as long as possible both times.

A little bit but not much. With my first we had 8ish hours of downtime between when I checked in (after my water had broken at home) and when they started Pitocin since contractions weren't starting on their own.

With my second I was only in the hospital for 7 hours before DD was born and most of it was pretty busy.

Kind of. My water broke at 9:30pm and I arrived at the hospital around midnight. I didn't have any contractions until 4am, but from there it was pretty much game on and baby was born at 11am.

Yes, because I went in with suspected cord issues/low fluid issues, then I was induced the next morning, then it too 36 hours. 48 hours from check in to baby out. Then she was taken straight to the nicu, so I was just hanging around waiting for her to get better. It was an entire week of downtime.

No! My entire labor was only 3 hours, and was intense right from the start. I was at home for the first hour and in the hospital for the second and third hours.

Nope. Got to the hospital around 1, baby was born at 315. No downtime at all until day 2 when guests left. Then DH and I watched downton abbey on the iPad bc LO was under the bili lights for jaundice.

Not really. I had a section because she was breech. We got to the hospital at 7:30 ish and LO was born at 10:52. Once they got my Iv's in, it was just a waiting game for the operating room to open up. They were a little behind schedule because of an emergency section. So, some down time, but not a lot.

No, I wish I'd had more (medicated!) down time. Technically we were there for awhile (6-7 hrs) before pushing but it was the middle of the night and I hadn't slept much at all the night before.

At first, yes. Water broke at 630am and we were at the hospital by 7. The first few hours I just laid there watching HGTV until the contractions kicked in. After that it just felt like an eternity! LO wasn't born til 11:47pm, and it felt like forever...but also definitely wasn't down time!

I was at the hospital for 9 hours before Xander was born, but it didn't feel like I had much down time! I know I spent 3 hours in the jacuzzi, but that time seemed to fly by!! And all the times around were spent getting checked in, getting blood drawn, getting IVs, blah blah blah!

Technically yes, but it didn't feel like it. We arrived around 4:30am, and after we went through triage we napped for several hours until it was time to push.

I went in at 6 pm on Friday and was already dilated to a 6, and I didn't have him til 5:15 the next morning...but I was in complete agony the whole time, so I wouldn't call it down time.
