LO 1- I had a ton of visitors and I didn't mind except when my parents stayed for a week. I get really sarcastic and evil after a day or two around them.
LO 2- Didn't have many visitors...wish I had more!

All of our family is fairly local (within a two hour drive), so we luckily didn't have anyone stay over. We did have visitors every weekend though for that first month and multiple times during the week in the evenings. It was a bit much.

So many! But most were invited. My mom stayed at the house for 10 days then DH's aunt came for 2-3 days (this I could have done without), then about 10 days later we had a packed house (grandma, grandpa, mom, sister, brother-in-law) all come for Thanksgiving and DD's baptism. We also had a number of visitors come by for short (couple hour) visits. It wasn't that big of a deal. DD was (is) an amazingly good baby and my c-section recovery was super easy.

So many... My parents, my IL's, SIL and her partner, BIL, other SIL & her hubby. None of our immediate family lives in our province.
We also had lots of people come for afternoon/evening visits.

Gosh yes. It became overwhelming, especially becausewe were ytrying to work on difficult breastfeeding issues.

Yes lots, and I felt very overwhelmed, DS was a pretty difficult baby. My ILs had a family Christmas party that they were insistent we attend - 48 hours after I gave birth! They all meant well but next time I will have some ground rules - no long visits (like more than an hour) for at least the first few days so we can have some bonding time as a family. And no one comes round without bringing food or doing a chore around the house!

We had about a month's worth! We don't live near any family, so they all came for fairly significant stays within the first month. It will happen again this time around.

Nope. I didn't want any, so we told people no unless we knew they'd make it short and sweet.

We had a few. I honestly didn't mind the company because I didn't feel up for going out until 6-8 weeks. Some people brought food or made a trip to the grocery store for us so that was great!

We had a lot of visitors in the hospital with DS. It was overwhelming, honestly. I'm planning to limit it a lot this time and ask people to visit us at home once we are settled.

Not too many, about 10 people total. We live in a different state than our families and most friends. I enjoyed the company!

We had 1 maybe, plus my mom (who came and stayed the week DH went back to work after he took 2 weeks off). Dh's parent came right after 1mo I think. We had set those plans with family since they had to fly in. We really liked having our own bubble to live in at first.
This time will be totally different with entertaining a toddler!

Yes, too many. I tried to set up boundaries and not let so many people come over but I was sort of overruled. It was incredibly stressful. Next time (if there is a next time) I will hold firm that no one can come the first month except my parents and dh's mom. Everyone else can just wait.

Way too many. Hoping for far less this time and plan to be stricter about visits.
