My mom made a comment about how Charlie and Olive are so attached to their loveys, and how in her generation (and mine) we never really had loveys. It's true that I never had one!

yep - I had a serious accident when I was about 6 and had major reconstructive surgery on my hand. When I came home from the hospital I was sleeping on the couch and woke up with a fluffy white teddybear next to me. I kept that bear til I got married, by that stage it was a greyish mottled mess.

Yes. A bear with a satin bow that I smoothed between my fingers. It was threadbare. I slept with it until I was 20.

Yes! I actually had two. A blanket that my mom's friend made for me (so soft) and a very worn out teddy bear.

Yep, a homemade knitted blanket called "yellow blankie". Hint:it was yellow. I would run the edge between my pinky and ring finger to go to sleep. I still have it!

A blankie and a stuffed dog. Passed the dog down to my daughter. Still sleep with the blankie.

Yes, a teddy bear. His name is Cuddles. I still have him and H is not allowed to play with him.

I had a pink quilt made by my great grandma, and a blue stuffed dog. Both were actually my sister's (13 months older) that I stole and became attached to!

Mine was a big pretty afghan blanket that I dragged around the house with me. I'm a bad mom who didn't pass it down to my kids. It's on my bed. Is that weird? Probably. Oh well.

i totally had a blanket lovey. It was this red and white checkered blanket that I loved to death. It was all frayed and worn thin but I had it till I was in 4th grade!

I had a teddy bear that is still in my closet! M loves to play with him but she knows that he's "special" and stays upstairs.

Me and DH both did. His was a blanket with a satin trim which he would run his fingers along to sleep. And mine was a bear I called "beary-bear."

Yep! A bunny head attached to a very small blanket. My grandma actually bought an entire case (about 12 I think) because I kept losing them and would freak out. I, uh, may or may not still have one...

I had a lovey! It was a white blanket with little pink hearts all over it. My brother had one too, it was a blanket that a relative knit for him, and he used it til it was literally just a 5" scrap of material. My mom pinned it to a bear for him at one point, just for memory's sake.
My LO doesn't have a lovey... he has an angel dear blanket and a stuffed monkey that stay in his crib, but he doesn't really care about them! (He's almost 2).
