I did. It was a photo album and on each page was a different category of stickers. I loved it so much I kept it into my adult years. I think I may have thrown it out but I'm regretting it about now!!

I totally forgot about this but yes I did!! It was huge and pink..I wish I has saved it, it was my pride and joy...

@T-Mom: Yes, I know what you mean about it being your pride and joy. @Leialou: Oh wow!! That's great you passed it on. I never think about things like that.
Did you guys categorize yours? Or move yours around? Or stick them permanently?
honeydew / 7488 posts
@808love: I think I stuck some of them permanently and I also had some sleeves where I stored some with their backings on. I definitely categorized. I remember my last page was the sparkly kind. Omg I really miss being a kid! Maybe I should make a sticker book for DD...

@T-Mom: Yes, that's what I was thinking too-DD would love it! (Insert girlish giggle) I am thinking of my animals page.

YES! I still have mine! I still collect stickers. Love it! I plan on giving my sticker collection to my DD once I know she'll take good care of it. It's very precious to me!

@808love: @banana: @sunny: @Leialou: Are you girls 80s kids ( grew up in the 80s)? I am.. And curious whether sticker books extended to younger generations...
pomelo / 5866 posts
@T-Mom: Well, now that you mention it...yes I was in elem. school in the 80s. Also on the west coast.
I am super surprised there were other sticker book lovers out there!! I totally searched the house for an extra photo album just now. Can't wait to start one!!
@banana: Your LO is going to be so happy!!
BTW: We used stickers when I potty trained and it worked wonders. Stickerlove is in the DNA. I even 'ruined' my ($$) Bjorn Potty letting her put stickers all over it each time she went.

@808love: My son likes stickers but doesn't love them enough for potty training.
So I decided he does not deserve my sticker collection because he's not passionate about stickers enough. haha. I really hope DD loves stickers. Otherwise, I'm taking my sticker collection to my grave!

@T-Mom: I was born in '88. My stepmom is a child of the 80's though and my sticker book was hers. She passes it down to me.

@Leialou: that's awesome that your step mom Introduced you to the awesomeness that is sticker books!
@808love: I am totally going to make one now. I hope dd loves it as much as I did
@banana: Hilarious that you don't consider DS "worthy".. Im sure dd will love.. What little girl doesn't love stickers?
coconut / 8299 posts
@T-Mom: right?? girls love stickers so she should love them? I hope so!! my favorites are my scratch and sniff ones. hope she doesn't scratch the scents all off. ok on second thought I might wait til shes older. or married. haha!
@808love: totally a prized possession! I have really cool ones from the 80s too. like my jem and the holograms stickers!!

Yes! My aunt got me and all my sisters sticker books one year for Christmas. My was teddy bear themed with a different category on each page. I wonder what happened to it...

Oh yeah! I also had mine in a photo album and I cut them out so they were preserved on their original backing. I had insane stickers - remember those liquidy ones? You pushed around and this oily iridescent stuff swirled around? Those and any scratch and sniff were my favorite.
honeydew / 7488 posts
@JerricaBenton: I remember those liquidy ones!
Where do you even buy cool stickers any more? I never see any really neat ones... Are they just a thing of the past?
pomegranate / 3872 posts
@T-Mom: I can hardly remember but I think I used to get them at like, stationary/gift stores. We had a few by us that sold cards and fancy wrapping paper and did balloons and gift baskets. None of those places are open anymore. I also feel like maybe our Hallmark had cool stickers but I haven't seen any in recent days. Do you think little girls are even into stickers anymore? Sadly I think it might be a thing of the past.
honeydew / 7488 posts
@JerricaBenton: I think you're right... e.g. a lot of kids iPad apps have a feature where you collect digital "stickers" (Monkey Preschool Lunchbox I'm talking about you!) and I'm just like .. "No! that's not a sticker!!" haha

LISA FRANK!!! I wish I still had all my stickers. I liked fuzzy and scratch and sniffs, too.

I had some stickers, but was way more into collecting pencils. I had a gazillion and wouldn't sharpen any because then they would be "ruined." I wonder what happened to all of them! Hopefully someone used them, lol.
pomegranate / 3716 posts
For sure!! I had an album and collected them in a box... and would save and save them, but never use them! I wonder what became of my stickers...
pomelo / 5178 posts
@T-Mom: @JerricaBenton: I've seen some neat ones at a scrapbooking store. I haven't seen scratch n' sniff in ages, though!

OMG, I totally forgot about that. I loved mine! I wonder what happened to it.

I never had a sticker book- instead I stuck about 100+ stickers all over the dresser in my room. I'm sure my parents loved that.

I remember BEGGING my mother to let me buy "oilies" (they were 3D stickers that had a liquid inside that made rainbow colors when you squished it). I did end up with some of those. I also had a full page of scented ones that smelled like chocolate ;). Unfortunately mine got ruined in my father's basement after it flooded.

@StrawberryBee: I loved those liquidy ones too!!!
What, there are no scratch and sniff? Oh no!
Maybe it will be a fad that will come back in the future. I've always said I was going to design and print my own.
And it took forever for me to realize those ipad stickers were stickers. Not even!
