My friend didn't get a younger sibling until she was 9 or 10 and her parents let her pick her sister's name! Lauren...nice name!

I suggested my younger brother's first name...I didn't think my parents would go with it, but they did! I was 9 when he was born.

@autumnlove: My stepdaughter wanted to name our LO Justin, as in Beiber. We passed

My sister was 6 when I was born. She wanted to name me Sally so she could call me silly Sally. My parents didn't use it though

Yep. I was 7 when my half-brother was born and I picked his name!

Yup. My bro and I are 8 years apart and I definitely had a say. He was supposed to be named Richard, but I didn't like any of the nicknames, then it was Ronald, but I kept saying it was like Ronald McDonald. Lol. They had to think up a different name. Serves them right for asking an 8 yr old!

nope, I was only 1 and then 3 when they were born though!
My BFF wanted to name her sister Annie, so they gave her the middle name Anne

Yup! I was 15 when my mom had my youngest sister and the rest of us were old enough as well - so my mom narrowed it down to two names and we all voted!

I'm the younger sib but I don't think my parents asked my brother's opinion! He was 7 when I was born.

I was 1 and a half when my sister was born so no say. Next sister though I was five. I was given no say but told people her name would be Wendy- like from Peter Pan. My mom said I would just go up to people and tell them that and she had to tell people that she was NOT using Wendy. When she was born I told people her name was Snow White. (Clearly, it wasn't.) Glad they didn't go with my "suggestions!"

Nope! I was 2 when my sister was born. I was 10 when my mom had my little brother but he was the only boy in the family and it had already been decided that any boy would be a junior.

When I was pregnant with E we asked our 7 year old nephew what we should name him and he was determined that we were supposed to name him "Boy Boy." We didn't reveal E's name until he was born so everyone called him Boy Boy until then. It was cute

I was 3 when my sister was born. My mom had picked out her first and middle names, but I apparently liked her middle name only and couldn't say the first, so I just referred to her as Middle the whole time. She came out and they went with my choice.

No, I was 4, so I probably would have named him after our dog.
My husband asked C what we should name his little brother- Ball.

Yup. I basically named both of them. My parents asked for name suggestions and I'd list some until they liked them!

I am 5.5 years older, and I didn't have a say! My mom tried for 3+ years to get pregnant with my brother, so she probably had the name picked out well in advance.
I do remember that they were going to use the name Michelle if he was a girl. I was soooo excited for him to be a girl, because I pictured having Michelle from Full House as a sibling, lol!

I didn't have a say in my younger sister's name. We were all rooting for an American name. My parents decided on a very Chinese one.
With DS1 we asked for suggestions and also what he thought about potential names we picked out. His input helped a lot. He recommended Bill one morning. So cute. Surprising how much a 2.5 year old understands.

Nope. I was only 7 though. I probably would have picked Sally. That was my favorite girl name when I was little for some reason. I don't think my little sister would have liked being Sally.
My mom picked out her name but we all agreed with it, even though it's a very common name and my older sister and I have very unique names.

I have two much older siblings and everyone (parents + siblings) had to agree on the name. This means that they didn't pick a name until the last minute and I didn't get a middle name because they had already ruled everything out
But I'm glad they all had a say in it!

No, I'm the youngest and my parents didn't ask my older sisters for name suggestions thankfully!

nope, i was only 2.5 when my sisters were born, and when my brother was born I was 6, and my parents were arguing enough between themselves about his name, they didn't need my opinion too!

No I was only 3 1/2 when she was born, so I can't imagine they giving me any say! I asked my nieces for suggestions when I was pregnant with E and if it were up to them she would have been "Tinkerbell, Dora, or Cocoa (her dog's name), or Danica. Danica is my other niece's name who was the "baby" of the family before LO was born. HAHA not going to work.
