With K, I used the bathroom a lot, and lost my plug in pieces for a few hours before any real contractions started. With M, I was so settled and at peace the night before- it was so weird! Then my water broke at 3am.

I had an overwhelming urge to walk

DD1 - Started losing plug and major nausea 3 days before. But then I felt fine and my water broke.
DD2 - timeable strong braxton hicks for almost a week before my water broke.

With DS I started swelling really badly and losing little pieces of mucus plug for a week.
With DD I started swelling really badly for a few weeks and lost my mucus plug/had my bloody show a few days before my water broke

LO1: felt off the day before, and had been having random BHs for weeks.
LO2: had been losing mucous plug for a few weeks and having timable BHs for a week or so before.

I lost my mucous plug after a check at the OB's about 36 hours before labor started. In retrospect, I was feeling different the day before - just a bit more uncomfortable and unsettled - but I didn't suspect at the time that labor was imminent.

I left work on Friday saying that I would definitely be in on Monday. Had no signs at all. Went into labor Saturday night and had him Sunday morning at 39 weeks exactly. In retrospect, I nested like a crazy person all day Saturday.

I was SUPER exhausted the day before and took a massive nap. I was a bit crampy that day, too. However I really wasn't sure it was happening until I lost my mucus plug late in the afternoon the day before she was born.

Nothing until contractions started creeping up on me.

One big contraction in the afternoon. Then I didn't feel like eating dinner, which should have told me everything. Contractions started around that time.

My water broke (just a leak that slowly got worse and worse) at 36 + 6. the day before I felt very emotional and like something wasn't right and I remembered thinking "I wonder if I'll be going into labor soon?" but brushed it aside as it was so early—especially for my first—I couldn't possibly be. Even when my water broke I couldn't believe it and convinced myself I was just peeing...

I always say I had no signs until my water broke, but after reading some of the responses, I do recall losing my mucous plug... but that was 3-4 days before labor! And no cramps or anything like that.
