I never had braces. I wanted them (I thought they were cool in middle school and all my friends had them), but my dentist said I didn't be them. My teeth are straight. I have a tiny gap between my two top front teeth, but it's not noticeable enough for me to do anything about it.

I also had them twice. Straight now

I did. My teeth are pretty straight but the bottom are starting to move a bit. I think if I popped my retainer back in, they could go back to normal. DH had Invisalign but his teeth were really, really crooked. It helped but not as much as he liked. He would rather get porcelain veneers than braces but that's $$$

I had braces. And my teeth are all jacked up again....especially the bottom. Hubs had perfect teeth - no braces, no cavities. REALLY hoping D gets his teeth!

Never had braces, mine aren't bad I just have one of my two front teeth that sticks out a little but not enough to justify the $& at this point.

Never had braces...I actually sucked my thumb until 4th grade and had a killer gap. Somehow they came back together and are pretty straight now?

I actually have braces (well Invisalign) right now. My teeth were really crooked. My husband has perfectly straight teeth and never needed braces..I keep telling him, I hope our baby gets your teeth and your skin!

Never had braces, but my teeth were fairly straight- just not movie star straight like the people who had braces have.

@mrsjyw: I had them twice, too! Top, front teeth the first time to fix all the gaps and then all my teeth w/ rubber bands to bring my bottom jaw back.

I never had braces. My bottom teeth are terribly crooked. I really, really hate them. I would love to get braces now, but I would feel guilty spending that amount of money on myself when it's not necessary. If LO has crooked teeth, we will definitely get him braces.

Nope never had braces and my teeth are straight. I have a space between my front two but its not bad and just cosmetic.

I didn't have braces. My teeth aren't perfect but they're not horrible. My bottom teeth are crowded and my upper could be a little closer together.

I've never had braces but I do have one crooked tooth on the bottom by my canine. It irritates me because I know its there but no one can actually see it unless I deliberately show them.

I had braces - my top teeth stayed straight but my bottoms ones didn't. I went to see an ortho about it and she said that they now recommend that once you have braces you continue to wear your retainer 2-3 times a week for the rest of your life!!! WHAT???

Anyway I would have to pay OOP so I didn't get them - if it was my top teeth I may have though!

I had braces when I was in HS, but then my teeth started shifting again after college and I had to get invisalign. Now my teeth are straight!

I had braces that eventually caused me to have TMJ issues that required surgery a few years later!! No bueno!!

My teeth are shifting so I think I'll need to get Invisalign one day.

I had braces, retainers, a palate expander, oral surgery to remove several adult teeth (too many chompers, not enough space for them all) and my teeth on the bottom are all jacked and crooked!! I'm actually thinking about getting Invisalign on the bottom ones, just not looking forward to shelling out the $$.

My husband has perfectly straight teeth, never had any work done to them. Needless to say, I really, really hope LO inherits his teeth and not mine!

I wore retainer from grade 5-6 to straighten my teeth a little because they were so crooked that braces wouldn't fit! Then I was brace-face from grade 7-9 and then I wore my retainer at night until the end of high school. Now, my teeth are relatively straight...Just a little shifted here and there.
