Yes, and I'm friends with many of them now, or connected profrssionally, it's awesome.

Meh. I went to a fancy prep school on scholarship and a lot of the faculty couldn't be bothered to help me catch up to my classmates who had been in good schools their entire lives (I had never written a paper and was actually told as a freshman that it was probably too late for me to become a good writer). I loved the librarian and the head of maintenance. They helped me navigate the system and get into college.

yes. his name was mr. hersey. he made me want to go to school and made me feel like he was glad i was there. i had others that were good, but none like him, he was truly gifted & i feel so fortunate to have had him as a teacher, i wish i could tell him that now.
