We have been talking about baby names a little bit and have a good list of girl names that we both approve of. Our boy list is at 0. We both seem to have a problem with knowing too many people with the names we might consider. Has anyone else gotten stuck on either boy names or girl names?

we're not there yet since we're not sure whether we're having a girl or boy (we want to wait until we find out to start picking out names) but i know we'll have so much trouble because my husband wants names that are SO COMMON! and i hate it! it's kind of like "john smith" kind of common. i like it a little more creative and he hates it. so.... we're going to be in trouble.

yes! we had a boy's name picked out but no girl's name that we loved. i ended up delivering our baby girl 4 weeks early. so, when we should have been resting at the hospital in between feedings and whatnot, we were wrestling with the name. it was sooo hard!

Yes ! Reason for why it's hard for us is pronunciation. Our families are French and English and we didnt want to pick names that would get massacred in one language or another. Not easy. Especially since we like unique names

We haven't even TTC yet (Jan 2012), but I've definitely started a list. Hubby and I agree on some, disagree on others; and the list changes every week. We're definitely looking at simple, short names because we have a very long, polish last name.

We had no problem coming up with names, but we had a difficult time agreeing on which ones we liked.

I think we are good on girl names or at least we seem to agree on those. Boy names are a whole other story. Hubby wants a unique name, but they are so weird for boys that I'm like, "Our child will be beat up all the time because of their weird name." We are TTC, so we have a bit of time to come up with some names, but it's going to be difficult to ever come up with a boy's name should we need one.

We have a few boy names (Thank God Bug is a boy!) but are absolutely stuck at nothing for girl names. I love the name Lucy or Lucille, but our precious puppy was Lucy and our family is dead set against us honoring our deceased dog by naming our future Daughter after her.

I was never stuck on names. For a boy i was debating between Jovani, Leiland, Dereon and Dontae. For a girl i was debating between Christianna, Malyna and Jaliya and Azalynn

We were actually on the same exact page, which kind of surprised me. We figured out a boy first/middle and a girl first/middle at dinner out one night. We totally agree on future boy names but I think girl names could be a challenge.

We haven't had a discussion about this since I found out I was pregnant....I feel like it might jinx things (am only 8 weeks)! Pre-pregnancy we had conversations about names, but nothing serious. My husband likes very plain and traditional names and I'm open to more unique names. I feel like we'll start talking about this after I'm 12 weeks and I'm sure we won't be able to agree on anything : )

We found out early on that we were having a boy so we didn't spend a lot of time on girl names. We have narrowed it down to the two names that we kept bringing up again and again. I had one boy name that I really liked before I got pregnant but when it became "real" and we were actually having a boy, this name just didn't feel right and we aren't using it.

We're exactly the opposite, we have five full boys names (first and middle combinations) , and we're struggling with girls names. We have a list of ones we like, but no combinations that work for us.

We're totally stuck. There's a boys name that I like, but I'm still working on hubs on agreeing to it. As for girls names, there's a short list but none we're absolutely sure about. What makes it harder is my cousin's having twin girls just 2 months earlier and with middle names, that's 4 names to reconsider! She's not telling anyone her names, which I totally respect. I'm just hoping all her names will be a very different style from the ones we'll eventually narrow down.

We are not making any progress on a name. Ugh. We've stalled out and can't seem to find a boy name that we both go "Yes! That's it!" to.

Yeah, hubby has only one name he likes and I don't like it,so--we're at a standstill.

We could only think of ONE boy name that we liked, and I was not even a huge fan of it. It was really hard to agree on a name.
I don't know why boy names are so much harder!!! -
Funny thing is boy names came very easy to us, we have 2 that we both really love. Girl names we could not agree on! I think I finally convinced him of my favorite name and he's on board!

Boys names we were a lot more decisive but then we found out we were having a girl. It was so much more difficult for us to think of girls names we both liked.
