Before Hellobee?
I did because I had a friend CD her LO. I had no idea it was so popular before HB, though.

I don't remember why I knew CDs were in style again, but I even took a workshop before DD was born. So yes, I knew about it before HB.

Yes, I knew about them and bookmarked all my favorites.

Yes b/c that's what my mom did. I had no idea how evolved they were until researching them now.

My mom always used them and I can remember her using them on my younger siblings. But she had no idea they had evolved from the old school diaper pin cloths.

I learned about them from a friend but have learned a ton more from HB! I don't think I'd be confident enough to use them if not for HelloBee.

I did, but not as much as I know now. Brands, types, things like that.

I did, because of a few friends that cloth-diaper, but I learned a TON more from Hellobee.

Yes. I don't remember how I learned about them, but I didn't join hellobee until lo was 4 months and lo wears cloth so I had to know before.

You know, I knew about them, but was much more scared of them. Now, whenever someone tells me I'm crazy for considering CDing, I want to tell them I "know all these people who do it and it's fine" - and then I remember I don't know any of them IRL! hehehehe.

I first read about it on a blog (amalah). I think it's waaaay more common with bloggers and in smaller groups like HB than it is in general.

Not in sense how they are today. Just the old school kind that my Parents used on us.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
Not really. I knew one girl who considered it while she was pregnant about two years ago and I thought she was totally insane. I think I only know one person irl who used them and even that only through fb. I learned way more on here.

Yup, my MIL cloth diapered and used a service.

I learned about cloth diapers from Young House Love and Oh Apostrophe. They helped educate me and made cloth diapers sound feasible. I have been cloth diapering for almost two years and just bought a new batch for the next baby.

Yep. My stepmom used them on my brother and sister. I also read about modern cloth diapers on several blogs.

Both of our parents used them on us, so we just planned to from the get go, without really knowing any of the new products. Once our kids were born, I did some research here, but mainly got our advice in person from our local CD store.

Yup, saw them online somewhere and then met someone local that was using them, which sealed the deal for us.

I read about them on blogs before I joined HB, then I had a friend IRL who used a service with her second LO. Another friend IRL had her LO 6 months before mine and used cloth too!

Yup, I did. Don't know exactly when I got obsessed with cloth diapers. I think it was around when we decided to start TTC.

YHL and WB reintroduced me and DH was totally on board bc his mom used CDs on him!

yes, a former friend used a diaper service for her LO and I was thinking about doing it for LO but it was out of our budget. We also dont have a washer and dryer in our apt so we nixed the idea and went disposable.

Yep, and I've been using them (on three kids) since my first was born almost 7 years ago There is a MUCH better selection now!

I read about it on HB, then a friend did it. I looked more into it and became enthralled!

I did a lot of research while pregant - before that I thought they were your same old prefolds and plastic pants.

Nope, HB is the reason I'm CDing DD!
Before I got pregnant I stalked HB everyday, and saw one of the blog posts about CDing, then I started doing research like crazy, and fell in love with it.
One of the MANY things I have learned from HB!

@yin: Oooh, congrats!! I must've missed the announcement on HB! =P I follow your blog but didn't see an update about that!

I might have learned about CD-ing from HB, but I really can't remember. All I know is that it's one of the best choices we've made! Super easy! Even poop scraping has gotten easier over time. (Could be because he doesn't poop enough though....Hahaha)
